but theyre saying theyre aiming on litening the car (thank god) cuz they admitted it was heavier than its other competitors.
theyre claiming 320hp to the rear wheels.

the 370Z's V6 would probably come in around 320-325 hp, a modest bump to the 306 hp delivered by the current 3.5-liter V6

What gets me is the fact of the new having alot more power than the new g37. I figure with a low average of 15% drive train loss the new z would be around 375hp crank hp and I doubt it would be that high...

I don't like the lower slant on the rear hatch. Honestly, I know everyones beef with the weight is the lost in performance, but personally, it's still a phenomenal car. Something lighter and smaller, and I'd say it'd be less safe and less unique. I don't know how much shorter it can get, before its a Miata.

I have read in several reports that Nissan is shooting for 350-355hp at the crank on the next Z as well as lightening it by 1-200lbs from its current level by making slightly smaller....maybe an inch narrower, some lighter parts...who knows
But 350-355 from a 3.7L with VVEL doesnt sound like an outrageous claim....that should be around 300whp from the factory and if its even 100lbs lighter than current Z's it will be a 12 sec Z straight off the showroom

Give us a 350hp, 3,000lbs car for around 30K and they'll have a killer car.
