how is this thread even still going..its a little ridiculous..its all opinions guys fact is the 370z was made to be a better overall car which it is, nobody is saying the 350 is a slouch and that there are dramatic changes but there are changes and they are for the better..

This is the weight of the 7AT base model they have on Edmonds. Not really sure where the difference is unless the one tested on C&D was a base 7AT touring, where as the Nav and leather would add some weight. But from what I had seen posted the 7AT Base model, no sport, no touring is supposed to be lighter than any of the 350's, HOWEVER the sport and the touring are close to the same or just over.

I will give you the handling on the Nismo 350Z over the 370, but it's supposed to be better. But a normal HR, the handling is not better than the 370Z. And yes the Nismo 370Z is going to be insane as far as suspension and such goes!

Edmunds took the weight from what NISSAN said. The actual weight of the car was weighed by C&D. This has been discussed many times already here and on the 370z forum. The 370z is not lighter. C&D weighed one previously and it was a base with sport package 6mt and it was also more than 3350lb.

But the "sport" or "touring" packages are gonna way more. Im talking straight base with no additional from the factory parts. I had read and seen several postings claiming it was lighter than the 350Z.

How come you accept their method of determining weight as posted by C&D but don't accept their method of determining the 1/4 mile time?

Couldn't their method of weighing be just as much BS then?

I am collecting data right now and it looks like the HR might have more peak power than a VHR. The VHR has more area under the power curve though. Going to look at same dyno, same data conditions.

More area under the curve means better performance and the Z34 is lighter.

When I have enough info to make a good conclusion I will publish it in three sevety z dot com.
