350zhr vs 370z acceleration
A 26 HP difference isn't going to knock off large amounts of time in the 1/4 mile. So the 370 has hit a 13.1 flat, so with a better driver 13 flat is probably the best it will ever see.
hmmm... newer usually improves. I own my VQ35HR, I bought it for the reasons it was the best motor for the Z I felt ever and I loved the 350 since day one. those who buy the 370 love it for the same.
to all his own. I would assume a 370 will "beat me" stock to stock. do I really care?
not truthfully. when modified, who really cares at that point as no one is stock anymore, only pushing what they put in.
we all love our Zs they all are great and all have strengths.

dude dont be so full of sh*t as much as i love my 350z hr i still love the 370z and no hate at all they are both great cars and street racing is not stupid well maybe a great risk but im not here dying to whip other cars just enjoying the ride so dnt be hating, its definately not a legit race but the only reason i raced him coz i wanted to see the difference between the two so nobody is claiming its legit... we all know ur so excited abt your car and think its the **** and i dont blame u it is really an awesome car just enjoy it no body is hating on u well at least im not i totally love it...
So don't get all pissy with me for calling you out. Im sure anyone else here not under the age of 21 is going to agree with me that street racing is not smart and not something that you should be doing! Of course Im sure your gonna be the one that refuses to listen and has to learn the hard way. I just pray for your sake it isn't via a police officer having to deliver some bad news to your parents...
Just a FYI. C&D uses a GTECH type of device. They did not take it to the dragstrip. And you know how those devices are. Let's wait and see people actually at the dragstrip before saying C&D actually beat it.
Hmmmm. Funny, because I could swear that somewhere here you posted this:
And even though I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement as this is the dumbest logic I've ever seen, I'm just going to say here that you were in fact proven wrong. Simple fact is the HR's extremely uncommon time of 13.150@107.62 got beaten by an amateur magazine racer in an auto 370Z that ran a 13.1@108. Don't try and change up your wording by saying you were waiting for a 12 second slip.
And also judging by your logic, a Fiesta that posts a 16 second quarter-mile time is faster than the latest version of a Bugatti Veyron that hasn't been ran at a quarter-mile yet. Makes perfect sense. Have fun in bizarro world.

Im still waiting to see the time slips from the drag strip showing your stock HR running 13.1s.... ya know, since all HRs run 13.1s! Please do not post any further comments attempting to discredit the 370Z when compared to the HR until you've bothered to post any times of your own. I'll be here waiting... Oh and please provide evidence of your claim as to what C&D used to measure the times for the 370Z. Seriously I don't see why you can't just be reasonable and accept the proof that has been presented like everyone else has already.

A search on what C&D actually did really helps. I am sure they will show it on the video when they release it like all the other cars.
So Dark, per this topic...

You acted like you never did a 13.3 per your first post in that thread. lol
And your newer runs were with a Intake. So that isn't stock. lol

6 speed or 7 speed auto? Also how many miles do you currently have on the car? How did you take off, did you rev and launch, did you take off from a dead start no rev, do you have sport, touring? All these details are important as well, please include as much detail as you can! I definately felt that I was capable of getting in the high 13.3's straight stock had I waited another week, but I wanted my intake on.
Wow, am I really gonna be the first to come out and say I've tracked the hell outta my Z already? Well I've been smart about it, but last weekend and this weekend I spent 3 different days at the track in my baby!
Last sunday I was still getting use to her and taking it very easy and was running consistant 13.6's with a 13.7 here and there.
Friday night I had a good 7 runs ranging from 13.48 (only once) consistant 13.5's and a few 13.6's thrown in the mix.
Today I took her out to the track again and was putting up 13.4 all day long! I took another 8 runs, 7 of which were in the 13.4's and had one 13.5 flat!
So far Im very pleased with the results, and expected them to get even better next weekend after I take out my spare and jack and other useless crap and lighten her up a little! But those are my straight stock experiences so far! Plus she is still being broken in. I haven't bothered really trying to launch or anything yet. Just revving to about 1.5k RPMs and dumping it on green light. No traction problems whatsoever and putting up consistantly 1.9 -2.0 60ft times! Even had a faster 60ft time than the GTR I ran this past friday! (of course he ran an 11.8 and I ran a 13.48, but I still felt good getting him off the line!)
Best 1/4 mile splits so far:
0.6702 - Reaction
2.0897 - 60 FT
5.7219 - 330 FT
8.6927 - 1/8 ET
83.18 - 1/8 MPH
13.43 - 1/4 ET
103.85 - 1/4 MPH
That is the exact splits of my best time so far. I've had a few faster 60 FT times but my 1/4 was a tad higher in the 13.4s still.
I am running the base model 7 AT also. I'd really love to see what someones stock results are in a MT base model with a similar start to mine. Not revving higher than 1.5k to launch. It'd really be interesting to see!
I will post more times next weekend after I install my Stillen dual cold air intakes and take out my spare and what not! Enjoy!!!

So lightening the car to save weight, not = stock anymore...lol Any more to the stories you haven't told us?
Hmm pretty sure I said that I planned to do it, never said I did it. Yes my Intake is on my car since I started hitting 13.2's but I did have a 13.39 slip pre intake. But glad your going soo out of your way to attempt to discredit any of my posts. Oh and now you have to see time slips? Because posting exact splits for multiple runs that add up isn't proof enough? I never claimed my car was running 13.1's, I posted what I was running and said what I had when I ran it. Hmm, yet I still see no runs from you? Or do you not have one of the magical 13.1 1/4 running HR's?
So I guess all 370z run 13.1s then too huh? Where is your timeslip? All you have shown us is numbers, but no pictures or a timeslip posted. The facts are in the drag section. No one is discrediting your precious 370z. So how about you go back to the 370z forum instead of causing problems here.
A search on what C&D actually did really helps. I am sure they will show it on the video when they release it like all the other cars.

Anyways Im done with you, you only look for ways to disprove by now mis-representing posts to your advantage. Glad to know you've reached that level of desperation tho. Have still yet to see you even post times at all however..... Good night!

You're not a mod, so quit acting like one. And it's not as if you haven't been discredited many times in the past. You're just too thick or prideful to admit to it, but the posts are there. Maybe Dark should search through your post history.

Strange, when I clicked on this section of the forums it was titled, "2009 370Z"..... didnt know that was still considered a 350 by some people! As for you requiring to see my slips. Im sorry but it's not gonna happen. My times are posted and they are real. If you knew anything you'd be able to look at the posted numbers and know they couldn't be made up. As for you, where are your numbers? Im still waiting.....

Not gonna happen, but you keep trying to push it. Until your slips are officially shown, then no one will believe you. My numbers have been on this site for a long time. Just look in the appropriate section. As I mentioned I ran the car and had issues with my 2nd gear grinding and traction problems so my times were not good.
Till you show a actual slip that you keep trying to push on everyone that you are so fast I suggest be quiet.

And also judging by your logic, a Fiesta that posts a 16 second quarter-mile time is faster than the latest version of a Bugatti Veyron that hasn't been ran at a quarter-mile yet. Makes perfect sense. Have fun in bizarro world.

I think something is LOST on half the people posting in here... the fact that we keep saying the HR is faster is a tongue in cheek if you will... Even Veetec who has one the fastest times recorded for a 350Z in his HR is onboard with the fact that we believe the 370Z will ultimately run a quicker time and break into the 12s. The fact at the moment is a bone stock HR has gone 13.1x and the best a 370Z has been reported at is still SLOWER... so for now the 350ZHR > 370Z.

This entire thing will be over as soon as someone with talent gets a chance to run the 370Z down the 1320.

This entire thing will be over as soon as someone with talent gets a chance to run the 370Z down the 1320.

If Veetec, Bateman and others can take the current HR 350Z to low 13s bone stock there is no reason why this won't be a high 12 second car bone stock. Considering the tires are better (thus the skidpad results) it might do even better than I am thinking (12.8~12.9)...
For those who can't drive it's going to be a mid 13 second car but for those who can this thing is going to be a rocket.
For those who can't drive it's going to be a mid 13 second car but for those who can this thing is going to be a rocket.
FWIW the 370Z is not yet faster than the HR in the 1/4 mile at all. Until 370Zs hit the track and prove it then the HR is still faster (with proven result by members of this very site). I am confident that Veetec will get his hands on one and put the subject to bed but until that happens the HR is king.
Fact: 350ZHR has run a 13.1 @ 109mph on an actual track.
Fact: 370Z had a best time of 13.3 @107 (I believe that was the most recent prior to this C&D slip)
Maybe I just suck at comparing numbers..
The 350Z record sure looked faster/quicker to me.
This man is in fact correct...they use Vbox which isn't the same as a timeslip from a sanctioned track (though I am sure it could be close).. they also auto correct all track times to account for weather (so ~0 DA)...
I also will be waiting for an actual track slip to compare numbers... the car is finally showing it's potential though... as stated (despite what people 'think' i've said) this will be a 12 second car.. only a matter of time.
