350zhr vs 370z acceleration
Here is a little fun clip of a 370z doing 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. I could never hit the 4 second range in my 07 z, but it's quite possible in the 370.

With equal drivers, the 370Z will have a little bit of an edge over the HR 350Z, but not by much. Put on 'okay' driver in the 370 and an excellent driver in the HR 350, the 350 will win. Base 370Z is heavier than a touring 350, as someone has mentioned it earlier.
Speaking of which, I would love to drag race a 370 with my Z.

Well, I guess this thread proves we all can read. The OP wanted some genuine, side-by-side comparison. I don't see anyone has posted that, just a lot of stats and charts. In other words, just so much blah, blah, blah...
My observation of my new 370Z is that 1st gear is very short. I'm wondering if it might work better in a time trial to start out in 2nd... I guess I can find out for myself when I get the engine broken in; I have less than 400 miles so far; not willing to whip it hard enough to do my own 0-60s just yet...

The 37O is 95 lbs. lighter & an inch shorter than the 35O, plus it's got 26 more ponies than its older brother...You figure that one out. Like I said earlier, ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL (meaning, NO mods in either), a lighter, more powerful beaZt "should" beat the older model.
Im not sure if this has been posted. Not bad at all.

It's about time people testing the new Z begin to get some real numbers out of this car. I cannot hit 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, the best i can do is 4.7 seconds in my 6 speed. I drove both though and the auto Z definitely turns the tables for auto vs manual cars. I'm a die hard manual guy, but there's no way anybody who has driven the auto Z won't admit that it's a fun experience. The responsiveness of the paddle shifters, the "rev match" down shifts, and the torque you get from a 7 speed...That thing really moves.

funny thread.
i'm supposed to run an '08 HR with intake/exhaust but the guy has not been to the meet i attend...been going for 3 straight weeks and nothing
i was going to run an EvoX on the highway but ended up not after a bolted DE beat him. i ran another DE and i pulled on him pretty damn hard
couldn't believe it so we all figured it would not be a good run against the stock EvoX.

I have an '07 Z and had a chance to run a 370Z from a roll. From 2nd gear around 40ish, it was pretty even and I actually pulled, but this is more due to driver variance than to the cars.
From 3rd gear around 60, the 350Z is a dog and the 370 pulls easily. I thought that we would run from around 70 in third gear, but we kept on slowing down before getting on the gas. If you're in the right gear and in the upper RPMs, it will be a decent run.
The 370Z is simply a faster car, but under 100mph it's pretty close. At higher speeds, or over a 100mph, the difference in power becomes more noticeable.
