I was going with 3 10" JL but now I am just going to run 2 10" so would a JL 1000/1 amp be to much for 2 subs? or should I just go with a 500/1?
if your going putting those w6 in a ported box then a 1000/1 is perfect (needs less power to be at full potential) but if in a sealed then they will need just a tad bit more power like 1200w.

Overkill is better, because you can't turn the amp up past the limits.
