Default Where to plug a radar dector?

Am I crazy, or is this car designed with a poor set up to plug in a radar dector? The only plug in I see is in the rear console between the 2 seats. This looks tacky with a wire running from the front of your windshield to the back area where the rear speakers are. I can't believe more people have not complained about this, or either I am overlooking a dash plug in like most cars have. If I am, please let me know??

Nope, no dash plug. The best thing to do is to hard wire your radar detector. Get another power cable (straight, not coiled) and clip the end off then run the cable from the detector to the fuse box below the steering column. Use a fuse tap connected to one of the switched accessory fuses (one that goes on and off with the ignition). Be sure to connect only one of the wires and ground the other one to the car's chassis. You'll also want to hide the power cable under the headliner edge and under the plastic pillar housing. If you're not comfortable messing with auto electronics, almost any decent car audio shop will do it for you for very little cash.

hard wire it to the rear view mirror that way there is only to unit and a small amount of wires that is barely noticable. Or you could get a nice expensive one put into your grill.

Do a search on the installation of detectors on this site. There are pictures posted in several of them on how to do it.

Thanks for the info guys. However, it sounds like a lot of "crap" to go through, when Nissan should have had a dash plug in the first place. This is another thing that us Z owners should complain to Nissan about so the 2004 owners won't have the problem.
