Question Metra Dash Kit/wiring harness?

Since the retards that work at Circuit City in my area can't seem to help me (we're sorry sir, but we don't have any informattion in our application guide for your car yet), and Crutchfield is out of stock, can someone direct me to to an online store that has the Metra Dash Kit and wiring harness for an aftermarket H/U?

Thank you very much.

Crutchfield said their out? I just got my Dash kit and wire harness yesterday. Hmm...perhaps I was lucky then. I think someone mentioned another site that sold them, but I forgot the name of the site. Search for "alpine wire harness".

Look for the post from onecoolee. I ordered from where ever he said to go - great price and fast shipping.

Sabre, you and I must have got the last two. I received my dash kit and harness from Crutchfield on Wednesday.

This is the place onecoolee mentioned: http://www.audiowarehouseexpress.com They are also listed here: http://www.installer.com

Thanks for all the help, fellas. I was actually able to pick up both pieces at a local stereo shop....paid a little more, but they had what I needed in stock.

Thanks again!

I was curious. Do you have to use ISO brackets included with the Metra Kit? My HU seems to sit a little further back in the dash than I think it should. How did everyone else install theirs?

If you don't use the ISO brackets, then you use the metal cage that comes with your H/U. My deck hasn't arrived yet, but I plan on using the ISO mounts because from all the pics I've seen, it sits the most flush.

One other thing....you might have installed the ISO brackets too far forward on the H/U?

Are you using the ISO trim piece that came with the kit?

I just screwed the new HU into the metal side pieces that the stock HU was attached to, but I used the Double DIN piece from the Metra kit, so it might be different if you are using the other part. I did have to elongate the holes on the metal pieces when I mounted the pocket from the Maxima in the lower slot.

Yes, there will still be two slots. One for the "single DIN" headunit, and the other will be a pocket.
