Default Sound distortion

So i got a kenwood ddx6019

2 10" kicker cvr subs

and a kicker 750 mono amp

i never noticed untill today.. wheni took my subs out.. that the music is distorted!

at low volumes.. the music will get quieter by itself and distort a little and then come back to normal.

is this happening cause my subs are out?
i did put electrical tape around the ends of the wires were it plugs into the subs just inscase.. but is this normal?

thanks!

yeah I read your not so descriptive post. And glad I could help you realize kickers suck. They sound junk as is, then you try to make it a free air sub(which it isn't) and then ask about distortion? Taking the sub out won't make it range from louder to softer. Check your connections. Audio 101.

Kicker sucks.

Just messing...lol. What kind of speakers do you have? Stock? If so, distortion is not surprising.

+1 on the Kicker sucking part.

I've done a lot of reading when I was purchasing my sub, and so many people complained about Kicker's sound quality.

if they are stock comps then thats your problem.

i just sold my 3-way component set and put my stocks back in until i get my new set

i honestly would rather not listen to music than hear this crap. nothing but distortion and clarity is horrible

I feel the same way. Just waiting for the new Kenwood to come out so I can get some components with it.

Kicker is not that bad as people say they are..Looks like a lot of kicker haters on here. I am not a big kicker fan as well, they do not have the best sound quality. But that does not mean they are crap.

What is the rest of your system like so we can diagnose it?

i took them out~

the rest of my speakers are STOCK

other then my keenwood deck.

are one of my stock speakers blown?

by distorstion i mean.. the sound level goes up and down slightly and a little static.
