Getting a DDX812 installed on the 21st and was wondering where you guys have the mic for the bluetooth module. Pictures would be great if you guys have them to.

That spot looks really good. My BT adapter is about to come in tomorrow. How difficult is it to route the wire to that location? Any major issues with removing the A pillar trim and getting the wire behind it? Any advice is much appreciated.

Not really too tough. The A-pillar just pops off and I ran the wire behind/underneath the dash and back in behind the console. I think I used a couple of wire ties to hold the wire behind the dash. I also bent the bracket on the mic itself so it could slide down behind the A-pillar. When I got it, it was basically a clip and I straightened it out.

Same place I put mine. I think above the rearview mirror is the best place because it's not easily seen and when the visor is down it doesn't block any sound.

Hey guys sorry to be bringing up an old issue but I'm really torn on where to place my BT mic. I'm basically thinking of doing a variation of what TreeFiddyZee (and probably what many of you have done) did or try to drill a hole in the A-pillar and make it more flush/descrete. Anybody out there try the drilling method? If not, do you got any ideas on how I would keep the mic in place besides apoxy or tape? I basically want just the face of the mic showing through the hole. Open to ideas, was actually thinking of using a small peice of styrafoam.
