Got it, 6 hours total to get everything set!

 

^^ I had the same issues and just ended up deleting the CO.fbl. Its beena bout a week now with it and after deleting some of the POI's this thing works and looks great. It was pretty easy to install as well.

 

Well Asian Invasion cant delete the Colorado since thats his main state....

 

I had to download a different colorado map, I found another USA_CO.flb online thats more updated anyway so it worked out in the end.

 

has anyone figured out how to upgrade the Plenio OS to version 1.64? It looks like the company site that used to host the upgrade nk.bin file is no more..

Just realized that mine has version 1.62, and I'd like to try out 1.64 if I could find it!

 

ok, I found a copy of 1.64, but also am working on getting a custom ROM that will allow access to the Windows CE desktop!

 

has anyone tried to fit a double din headunit in the cubby like jvc, alpine, kenwood? besides the Plenio? really curious to see if its possible with some modifications

only reason is because i already have a double din and i love it and dont want get another one. thanks!

 

wont fit without major cutting. the dash is not deep enough behind the cubby. there is ducting for the vents back there.

 

Yea major cutting and bondo work will be required. Also there is not enough backspacing so the HU might stick out a bit and therefor will no close...i do want to give it a try if i had a DD HU

 

anyone have one of these for sale? does anyone know of a substitute for the pleino in case i cant find one?

A little more expensive at just under $200, but it's another option. I'm putting this unit in my base 2008, I just received the navigation dash piece to replace the cubby dash.

 

But this wouldn't turn off and on with the car would it?

Is it possible to replace just the cubby? I have an 05 and the lid stays open which wouldn't look very good. I would like to replace my cubby with an 03 cubby so that it looks clean.

 

Yes its possible, but it may be a lighter shade of gray, but Im not sure exactly when the center console color was changed.

Update: On my experience

So all n' all I like it, I've had this plenio installed for about 6 months. At first I did have some trouble with the installation, and I did have to delete the CO.fbl file because there was an error. Or it could have been the Error: map usa_colorado.fbl, not really sure which one of the two because it has been a while. I also did delete most of the POI (Places of Interest) so now it does start up quicker. I did encounter an error that happens off n' on, It happens when you try to enter the name of a new city, I got it to work sometimes but often times I just hit the recent button and select my city from there. If there is a solution to this problem please let me now.

I have also have a second plenio for sale if you are located by San Diego but it is missing the gps antenna, however there have been post here that confirm an aftermarket antenna will also work.
