My $100 like OEM fit NAVIGATION setup
o2sys thanks again for your help. I removed all of the poi's except for three surrounding states. The problem was that that the poi's were being saved in a "save file". Once I deleted that it worked perfectly. The down load on the first post was a life saver, thanks again it looks and works great.
been having some weird glitches with my Plenio lately. Sometimes the GPS wont connect and the triangle pointer just flashes in OCN8. Also this morning for the first time the initial turn on loading screen came up, then the screen went blank. It was still on, could tell by hearing clicking sounds when i touched the screen, but the screen was totally blank. Once I got to work, i turned the car off and then back to acc power, and the unit powered up normally, werid... I kind of wish i had hard wired in a power switch for it for issues like that, but I wired it up to work with ACC power only.
Can someone help me out? I downloaded the two links provided in the first post to my computer and it saved it as .RAR files... Where do I go from there? Any help is appreciated... Thanks!
Hey all,
Figured I'd follow up with this thread. I've been using the Plenio/OCN8 combo for about 8 months now, and haven't had a single issue with it. It works great. I have one complaint about the nav though...when setting a destination, it doesn't tell you which side of the road it is on, which sometimes sucks when driving on a busy road trying to find something. My 4Runners OEM nav system does this, I don't understand why it can't do that. Maybe with the next version. That is my only complaint though, reliability on the system has been excellent.

So basically, if I downloaded the first two links on this thread, remove the necessary POIs to free up space, then copy and paste everything to my SD Card, then pop the SD Card into the Plenio (I have the 2100 model), it will all work properly with no issues?
Try finding any other 7" Navi systems, doesn't HAVE to be PLENIO, its just that it happen to be a good fit for the 350Z.
Hey one question.. With the OCN8, it doesnt utilize TTS correct?
edit: NM. I answered my own question. It talks to you but does not say the names of the street. One follow up though. Does the 2100 have an audio out so I can add an external speaker to it for the voice?

When I load it up and hit the nav button it loads the nissan screen, then while its loading some init files it goes back to the default screen where I can pick games, pictures, etc.
However the navigation button is greyed out and unselectable.. anyone want to chime in?
I can't see the error as it throws it fast then reverts to the main screen..
