Default Aftermarket radio issues! please help.

hi all, i installed a Pioneer 940BT in my 07 350z bose and everything is working great except there is some feedback noise coming from the speakers at low volume. Also when i turn the radio off, the noise increases and then decreases and goes away! it does that also when i change sources on the radio. I used the metra harness with the RCA jacks which is the one for the vehicle. any suggestions?

Double check your grounds. Sounds like you have a bad one

i checked all my grounds and they all seem good. I even gave it a ground with my powerprobe and still the same things. I have done so many radio installations and never had an issue like this. its as if the factory amp doesnt shut off when the radio is powered off! there is a little of hissing noise even when the radio is off.

If you're retaining the stock Bose amp, it's recommended you use the PAC ROEM-NIS2 module in between your new headunit and the existing harness. Your symptoms are similar to those who went the same route as yourself (eg. noise at low volumes)

try grounding one of the RCAs connected to the head unit (outer ring of RCA) to the head unit chassis.

Some amps power down slow after the headunit is turned off; watch the power light on your amps, you'll see.

This is your solution. Try that and your problem would be solved

I've been in audio for a while now. Sounds to me that you need to run your power wire further away from your RCA and remote wire. I know ppl who have aftermarket stuff and that's usually the solution.
