I purchased an 03 nav cubby and installed it into my 04 350z. Worked great... install was fairly simple.

I have a 7" Lilliput touchscreen mounted in a '04 with motorized lid. I was unable to get the OEM controller for the motorized lid working so we had to make a custom circuit. This pic shows the screen mounted (protective film still on the screen). There is a small gap below the screen where the nav controls would normally go so we made a plastic piece to cover it.

Here is a pic of the controller for the door. It uses a Basic Stamp 2 microcontroller.

The motorized lid was about $120 I think. The controller was around $80 but I wasn't able to get it to work. There was a wire in the circuit diagram that connects to the nav system which is why I think I had problems. The only parts I used from the OEM controller were the plastic case and ribbon cable that connects to the door. The circuit in the picture above is home made.

Allows you to connect an external source to the radio.. like for instance an xbox, iPod or one of those non-integrated into the head unit XM radio receivers

Yep, the door is fully functional and I've been using it for the past couple weeks with no problems. It's attached to battery and acc power so when the car is turned off it will close automaticly. When the car is turned on it will either open every time or it will open only if it was open when the car was turned off depending on a jumper setting. It is also connected to the power input to the LCD and will turn it on and off depending on the position of the door. The circuit took my friend and I a while to design because we're new at this stuff but I would imagine it would be pretty easy for an experienced person. I have a few extra PCBs if anyone would be interested in buying either a blank PCB or a completed circuit. Let me know.

Actually, the WX7700MDX is satelite radio ready. There is a Sony XM receiver that attaches to it using unilink which allows you to control it from the head unit. Ive heard it can be hard to find them though...

aalzuhair,

Unfortunately, I can only supply the PCB with or without components installed. The plastic mounting bracket and the ribbon cable that connects to the door came with the OEM controller circuit which was about 80$ from the dealer. I think the problem I had was the OEM controller had one line that connects to the Nissan nav system which I obviously don't have. You would either need to get ahold of the mounting bracket somehow or figure out some other way to mount it. Sorry.

Bryan,

I PM'd you on the purchase of one of your completed ciruit boards. Let me know if you've got a Paypal account or how you like to set up the transaction.

Thanks - Corey (zzzBaby)
