The one i got from the guy on g35 is pretty cheap, after using it for a week or so, it already broke on me. Let me know how that $45 holds up.

This was the one whos email was posted earlier, the one that was selling them. On a positive note, he did mail me some new nissan logos for the key fob, since the one i got was cracked.

 

This is the one I have, and the quality is definitely makes this a no-go. I've tried everything, but the plastic casing cannot keep a grip on the actual key's position. Basically, my key flops around, and there's not much I can do about it. It was fine for about 2 weeks, but it just went downhill from there. I highly recommend avoiding this one! I'm going to be switching to the more 'rectangular' one soon, hopefully that one will be of better quality...

Edit: I have the one from ryan@g35- it looks exactly like this, which is why I have doubts... I'd hate to spend another $30+ for the exact same lousy product!

Is there a consensus yet on which FOB is the best? Rectangular, 3-button, rounded 4-button?

Looking to do this mod soon, help is appreciated.

 

Andrew, there really is no sense in getting the 3-button remote since all of our remotes come with 4 buttons and there is a 4-button remote available.

 

Anyone bought this key fob yet? Was it easy to program and cut?

You should get one from artiway or mykeyless-1 on eBay. I got mine from mykeyless-1 and this guy name Nick did really great job on my key. Home depot messed up mine so I had to order another set but Nick sent me new set for free. (: what can i say? he saved my $50 lol.
