Default Another 2 Hi-Tech in Melbourne

ypwpat (yun) and me have just put our hi-tech exhausts on.... and it sounds really nice... power-wise, I still have not yet felt so much (only 5km drive back home)... will wait until it runs in!!

The thing that I don't like is the tips come out a bit further than the original exhaust.... I think Hi-Tech should do the quality control on their products as I checked the photos posted earlier by other people who have hi-tech, their tips aren't that much outter.... but sitting nicely right at the edge of the rear bumper!

I will show you guys some pics later on when I get my digi-cam back!

cheers,

richie

bad thing just happened... well... not JUST happened, but already happened along the production line of the exhaust... I found that both sides of the exhaust tips aren't having the same length, my right exhaust tip is a bit outwards than the left one and it is noticeable... damn.... I am going to get it fixed now, just cannot stand this kind of littel defect...

yeah.. I am a picky man...

cheers,

richie

well not just you Rich. Yesterday i got a defect as well. The Y-pipe bolt on hole is not allign properly. it end up i have to get it cut and re-weld it back on to fit it properly on the car.

but with you Comment about one tip is longer than other, i'll have a look later. Cheers

P.S: Richie you should have come earlier to hear my Z without the Exhaust man :P it rumble about 100m Diameter across the place hahahaha (but i wish, we can do that )

I went to the smash repairer today to see how it's going....omg!

The car is stripped down from the doors back. I mean even the subframe is being replaced. The superstructure (if that is the correct term here) is fine but I can't say so much for the rest.

I also noticed that the Hi-tech has one tip further out than the other...never took notice before. It's pretty obvious now with no bumper, no rear subframe and everthing stripped out.

I've asked for pics, he said he'll email them over when it's done.

Anyway, YES the Hi-tech exhaust has some minor detects. PLs keep an eye out for the even tips.

yeah just notice mine too It also on the Right tip seems a bit longer then the left one.

also one more thing. But i'm not sure if this is faulty installation or just my imagination.

When i was driving on Freeway doing 100 -110 on 5th gear. At 3000 rpm over i heard a rattling type of sound. Has anyone experience this? or just normal?

Other gear (Except 6th) over 4000 rpm no rattle only 5th 3000 rpm.

Guys sound like the install was'nt setup/adjusted properly, I have none of the problems noted above. You also have a 30 day money back warranty.

Just discovered again. The welded part inside the the tip of the Exhaust is completely bad quality welding. I'll send you guys a pic later.

well... my tips lengths are fixed with another 100 bucks... but somehow one is still slighly higher than the other (with a tiny bit of angel out).... we cannot get this fixed as the exhaust pipes setups from the muffler aren't going to allow this to happen (one pipe is higher than the other)

Plus.... we don't have "Flex" at the Y-pipe, so if we go through the hump or cruising with bits of engine movement, you can actually feel the engine vibration... this is due to the whole system is simply TOO STIFF!!

Also notice the welding parts inside the tips and other parts as well, the qualities aren't good at all.... I cannot say more about it!

BUTTTTTTTTTTTT......................

After speaking to Lambros at Hi-Tech for quite a while and explained every single problem that we have, long story short... HE IS A TOP GUY!!! THUMB UP FOR HIM! He is willing to fix all the problems for us, but due to his factory problems at the moment, he is about 3 weeks behind his original schedule and also the QC cannot be controlled quite well... He asked us to give him 2-3 weeks time, he will improve EVERYTHING on the current exhaust for us!

Will see a brand new Hi-Tech in 2-3 weeks time guys! Once agian... BIG thanks to Lambros for taking all the responsibilities!

cheers,

richie

The Snowman strikes again!

BTW my tips are straight just are about 10-20mm different length. I guess if you straighten the left tip it will be about an inch out too.

HARRY - you musta been on the nest a coupla days - I had a redlead Z as the avatar - ****-up - for a couple of days.
(The driver forgot to put his feet down).

But I take on board your comment "another piece of nisshit . . ."
meaning of course and referring to the ****-up REDLEAD avatar (?).

INTREPID (I think that's right?)

The SUNSET avatar at left (SUNSET again - I keep telling you!) is the new GT-R.

My next car - so long as the Frogs aren't involved.
