Default First PDX event, recommended ride height?

I know there is really no definitive answer, but I am on Cusco Zero-2 coilovers with the 10kgF 7kgR spring rates. What kind of ride height and/or tire to fender clearance do you think I should shoot for in order not to rub under hard cornering.

Currently I look like this, which is my street height which is pretty much slammed. I know it needs to be raised. What do you think? Raise about 1/2 to 1 inch? especially in the front.

yes 17x9.5F 17x10.5R, I am going to be adding a 10mm spacer to the rear, I just got this on the road and wanted to take some pics before I took off the rear brakes to install the new bolts/spacers.

It looks alright to me. My front and rear is a little lower than yours and I am on 17x10 with +25.

I would run it as is and bring the tools you would need to rasie it up if you need to. If it doesnt rub during auto-x, then I doubt it will at the track. The front and rear will camber out under hard loads increasing your clearance slightly.

the rear is definitely fine, the front i think I am going to bring up 1/2 inch or so, im just paranoid. I will have the tools to make adjustments at the track though. Thanks for the feedback so far.

What track?

What Camber settings are you using?

How much Autocrossing have you done with that setup, and how did fare doing it? Like was mentioned above, there's a good chance if it does fine at AUTOx, you won't have a problem on track. Some variables to that though are turn geometries and track camber (thats why knowing what track you're running will help answer the question.)

This setup (wheels/tires, ive had the suspension for a couple seasons) just got put on yesterday, no autox time with it yet, but if you look at it, its pretty obvious that in the front there will probably have rubbing issues on the top of the fender if the suspension compresses more than 1/4 inch or so. I would also be worried about my front lip scraping under a hard corner. I really want to raise it, I just thought I woudl get some experts opinions on about how much I should.

At this height, front camber is just over -2 deg, rear is -3. This is because i dont have adj camber arms yet (in the budget for next season). I have been doing auto-x for 3 years but on stock wheels with r-comps. This is my first PDX or HPDE and I am going to be taking it easy and trying to soak up as much instruction and knowledge as possible. I dont want to deal with rubbing issues.

OK... this makes a big difference... your main considerations should be the banking and the transitions on/off the NASCAR track. A roval with walls, Hoosiers, and an unfamliar suspension during your first time on track is not the ideal setup. Sounds like you're approaching it smartly enough though.

I'd start out high... like maybe raise it an inch or more and see how it feels. The last thing you want is the tires rubbing and cutting, potentially causing a blowout on that banking. The next to last thing you want is to hit the bump stops under compression that could cause you to spin.

Well i have been on this suspension set up a while, but not the hoosiers (previous tire was a 255 victoracer) but your point is well taken.

I will go up an inch and check it out, thanks for the advice.
