I weighed it.

I took out at least 27.2 pounds. I left a little behind and of course you can't weigh it all.

Any tips and tools for removal, I think it cleans the car up so much, next on the list of things to do.

It's not too challenging.
You'll need an angle grinder with all the safety gear. Gloves, face shield, mask, etc. A lot of hot metal goes flying.

Pick up 5 or 6 zip discs for cutting and 1 or 2 solid grinding discs. Then it just comes out in chunks. I started from the top and worked my way down.

I believe that I took out around 60 lbs. Not sure about the exact weight, but it was in the 60's. Thats including the speakers. I did remove a lot more than 2th PWR though. Did you put in a cage after?
Oh and I used a plasma cutter. Alot easier that the angle grinder I started out with which pitted my little side windows with metal because I was stupid and didn't cover them.

27.2 lbs was just the bare metal. It doesn't include the stuff you need to take off to get to the metal. I left a small lip only as in my pics.

As for cage I'm not that far yet. Just starting out.

Looks good so far. I know its a pain in the *** to get a cage installed. Oh yeah and it passes tech to, at least with a cage. Don't know if you want to go that far without a cage.

Thanks for the info guys. Still might be on the list for me. Just going to be more difficult now that the cage is in.

No, not yet. When I recently got the car tuned, I had them remove the codes that would be thrown with the EVAP disconnected. I plan on removing all of that.

Yea, you and everyone else...LOL

I knew it would be. My goal was to figure out how much faster. That, I still am not sure of because of the spotty weather last weekend.

Car is faster though. Picked up about 5-6 mph down the back straight at MO.

I am slightly "laze" as well. I spent so much time working on the car the last month getting it ready I didn't even feel like messing with it and I still don't to be honest. That will be part of my next wave of weight reduction.

Finally got a video up from this past weekend. We were running the club course at Mid Ohio. I beat the previous TTB record, but the same session my top competitor also beat it by more. My fastest time for the weekend was in this video. 1:41.1 and the guy in the Nissan 240 two cars in front of me ran a 1:40.6. Last years TTB record was held by him and it was a 1:41.4.

I had a passenger with me the session before this one and I didn't have any time to take my seat out. You will see it flop around...lol I'm surprised I didn't get black flagged or anything.

I like this new camera view because I can see my steering, shifting, feet, windshield and how much I look around in the rear view mirror.

I think I am having some under steer issues. I cannot tell if I am under steering or just coming in too hot on some corners. I would love for some advice. I think I have a lot of suspension tuning to do. The fast corners the car seems planted. The front and rear aero is helping a lot there.

On the club? LOL

That's what I run in the Pro. There is about 2-3 second difference on average. My buddy in his Z06 only ran a 1:38.0.
