Air bag only turns on airbag light, TPMS only bothers tpms light.

Those are http://www.nissanraceshop.com/, Fontana Racing's arms.

I've always wanted to cut that speaker section and rear brace out and weld the hatch in place, using a lexan window that pops out for access, I know that's totally illegal in most classes.

Going Monday to get my Sunoco GT Plus 104 Octane fuel. I am getting a 55 gallon drum of it. Their plant is here in Ohio and only an hour from my house. I will have that ready for when the car comes back from the cage shop. I need to remove all the fuel from my system and get all the 104 in and then scheduling an appointment to get it tuned at IP.

What kind of price can you get for 55g of 104?

Any updates? Or have you stop the build since spec z was announced?

Also, weighed the car one more time. It was 2785lbs. I removed a few more small things last weekend. I will weigh it again once it gets back to find out exactly how much the cage added. Since the car is under 3000lbs, I was able to go with the smaller tubing. I believe it was 1.75x0.9. Getting NASCAR door bars too.
Was that with a full tank of gas? that's pretty darn good... i think its 1.5 if you're under 2800lbs

I basically have most my interior removed, after market seats, metal behind the seats gone, rear strut bar gone, and I weighed in at 3040 with a full tank of gas before my roll bar got installed.. kinda surprised i wasnt lighter.

did you weigh the wiring you took out? no A/C or heater core right?

I have not stopped yet. I am still waiting to get the car back from cage builder. McMahan Auto. He is huge on this side of the country and was backed up when I dropped my car off. He said he wouldn't even get to my car for a couple weeks. It's been 3 weeks or so. I am going to call today. Hopefully he started on it and I can get it this weekend.

I had a half tank of gas when I weighed it. I did not remove the metal speaker stuff behind the seats or the rear strut bar. All that's still in there. I figured it added some rigidity. I may remove it later.

As for the CF doors. I may do that and CF hatch next winter.

I am ready to get the car back. I got to clean up my plenum, remove the old fuel and get all my new 104 going through there and take it to get tuned.

I called the cage guy yesterday evening. He said he hasn't even got to it yet. This is what I get for taking it to one of the best guys around. He said he has been slammed. He said he will be starting on my car next week. Probably won't get it done until the week after. So I sit and wait patiently still.

I am running out of time to get my other stuff done. All of the time consuming stuff is done (everything in this thread up to this point) though so that's good.

Put stock sways back on with endlinks, remove old 94 octane fuel from tank and lines, put in 104, remove plenum and install custom plenum, take it to Injected to get it tuned, install new harness mounts on the floor, change all fluids, install Delrin A-arms, alignment, weigh and corner balance. Maybe get my front bumper re-painted. It is chipped to all hell. I am also going to re-do how the wing is mounted if I decide to use it.

First event is April 13th-15th.

I don't like to wait until last minute on things. It has bitten me in the a$$ before. I like to have everything done a few weeks before the first event.

You might want Mark to install your racing seat, window net, seat belts and fire system as they take time and he has done so many that he will do it in a lot less time than you and can and hes always been decent about the price of those items. Mark is always backed up and he needs a larger shop and two more employees.

Thanks. I installed my seat before brought it to him. I tried to have as much done as possible to make his job easier. He actually is going to install my window net for me. I am doing TT again this year and do not need a fire system, but if I had one for him to install I would have him do it.

I have seen his work and it is excellent. His prices are fair too. He did tell me when I dropped my car off, "if I had two more of me around here, we would get things done a lot quicker"

Well...more sad news.

They still haven't started on my car yet. He said he has never been this backed up ever. I don't think he realizes how good his rep is.

I am starting to get very frustrated. I dropped the car off mid January and he said he will start on it in a few weeks. Well, it's been almost 5 and it is still untouched and to top it off it is still sitting outside. They are thinking they may not have it done until March 14th or 15th area. That sucks, because I am leaving on the 16th for a vacation out of the country and will be gone for a week.

When I dropped my car off, I never thought it would take this long. I thought for sure I would have it back before vacation and have it tuned already. When I get back I am going to have very limited time to get all the stuff done that I need to before my first race. I hate being rushed and waiting until the last minute especially with car stuff because so many things can go wrong.

He said I could come up there and work on it. That is really sh*tty that I have to drive 2.5 hours, burn up my fuel (prices just sky rocketed here) to work on my car because he is backed up. I think he should have been more honest with me about the time frame. I understand being a week off or so, but he will have had my car for 6-7 weeks before he started on it. There were two cars outside his shop when I dropped mine off and a couple in the shop. I think I have been bumped in line. I am going to see if he'll knock some of the price off since I have to drive 2.5 hours to go do some work to my car because he takes on way more work than he can handle.

They said they are backed up 20 cars right now. That's insane!!!

If I had known if would have been sitting this long, I would have gladly taken a number and kept my car so I could have been working on it and have most of everything done by now. Then he could have called me a week out or so before he was ready for it and I would have taken it up there.

It's that time of the year. Generally, more race oriented shops are in chaos from Feb-March with every person trying to get ready for the season.

Yea, I understand. That is why I dropped it off in January. He said he wasn't that busy when I originally talked to him. That is why I feel like I got bumped. There are some WC cars in there and I'm sure they bumped me. They have stiffer deadlines and a lot more money than me.

Car is finally going into the shop tomorrow. It's been sitting outside since I dropped it off.

I am actually going up there as soon as I get out of work in the morning to do some work on it since he has had it so long. I will have it ready to immediately take to the dyno right when he is done with it, so I have less down time.

I got quite a list of things to do to it when I get up there. I listed most of them a few posts back.

Decided to buy 245 tires in 17"wheels. This will allow me to bounce between TTB and TTC throughout the year. I will run whichever class has the biggest turnout for contingency. I will probably run TTC at Nats. My power/weight is above TTC, but with a 245 it gets adjusted back to just under the limit. I will have a much better shot at TTC because I have no chance in hell to get my power/weight to the top of TTB's.

Differences between TTC and TTB setups:

TTC: stock suspension, no aero and only 3168 comp weight
TTB: aero, coilovers and 3048 comp weight (this is still 140lbs lighter than last years TTB setup plus I will have about 10-15 more hp)

I should be able to make all the changes to the car for the different setups in about 2 hours.

Thanks! It's all good. This is typical stuff for being involved in motorsports.
