You mean the diffs? Both of us have already spent the money on Wavetracs. The Wavetrac LSD may prove to be the better and faster unit, it just needs cooling to go with it. I held onto my older NISMO diff, so it'll be the alternate/backup unit.

She can and she has! She needs a Smitty Racing T-shirt. Those will be new for 2013.

b) Brake rotors must be the same type, material, and dimensions as OEM. Brake rotors from
alternate companies may be used. Brake rotors may be cryogenically treated.

So slotted are OK - 2 piece are not.

Slotted are not OK. Neither are two-piece rotors. OEM rotors are one-piece, vented or solid- but not slotted.

All OEM rotors are all vented - that's irrelevant here (vented means 2 friction plates connected by cooling vanes - all 350Z's have vented rotors both front and rear)

There is no specific verbiage regarding machining rotors (either drilled or slotted). I would expect that if it were disallowed it would be specifically addressed.

This covers the slotted rotor question -
4 Format
Modifications, addition or removal of parts are not allowed, unless specified or approved in these rules. Additional modifications are not permitted. These rules are not intended as guidelines; rather they shall serve as the national set of rules, and must be strictly followed. Each NASA Region is responsible for ensuring that all competitors running in the corresponding regional championship conform to these rules. Replacement parts not specified by these rules must be OEM or the exact equivalent. Plainly put, if these rules do not state a modification is permitted, it’s not!

Agreed, but rules are rules as written for now at least. Rectangular holes it is!

Hey - Thanks for the call sir!

FYI - I was NOT just trying to push slotted rotors. In fact the opposite. I DID want to push for RULES CLARIFICATION at least as far as brakes are concerned.

I had DBA make me LOTS of blanks for other markets w/ similar needs - and I would likely consider the same here because it's the same situation. The OEM rotors are certainly good but overly expensive so it's an opportunity for a good rotor like a DBA.

And just for discussion - we also had blanks made where the OEM rotor is drilled (C6 Z06). Do you want the rules written such that for these type cars they MUST run a drilled rotor?

(The drilled OEM C6Z rotors crack pretty fast on track - and unpredictably.)

I sure don't! With aggressive pads, I just consider the rotors a wear item similar to brake pads, and change them every couple events. I buy the cheapo blanks from Rock Auto for like 30 bucks a piece. I have tried special rotors like dba, and did not see anything in longevity but did note a lighter pocketbook.
