I assume there are no changes for the HR cars (restrictor)? If so, we will NEED the DAQ systems in the cars during Nats since it's so easy to change the program from race to dyno test confirmation.

Anyone with UpRev can easily swap tunes prior to a dyno test. All it takes are Cruise control switches mounted in the car.

I couldnt find the information I need about building the Spec Z Cage, Could someone point me to a right direction? I might missed it somewhere.
1) Are Gussets allows in between A-pillar/B-pillar and roll cage?
2) Is the crash bar inside the dash removable and be replaced with the roll cage?
Thanks in advance!

Hello, just finished reading through this thread. I find it refreshing there seems to be general consensus on some future adjustments to the rules that will help improve and grow the series. We at Z1 Motorsports not only participate in Spec Z, but also support Spec Z racers with parts, services, and tuning. We'll be adding a new section to our website soon focused on common Spec Z parts and you guys will be happy with the pricing and selection.
This year we built a 2007 Nismo #357 and have run 4 races at Road Atlanta so far with Joe Ippolito at the wheel. Next year we may add an 03 Brickyard that is currently being stripped out at Z1.
Looking forward to meeting some of you at the National Championships at MMP in a few weeks and hope to also see some of you at our Z Nationals event in October www.Znationals.com.

Sorry- Spec Z rules allow only OEM-sourced bodywork. Might want to do a little repair to that aluminum hood and find an enclosed trailer for the car.

2) I think it is supposed to / should be left in place. We left the one in our car.
Maybe someone else can clarify.
Here are a lot of great photos and a video from the NASA June Jam at Road Atlanta.
I think this was the largest field of SpecZs ever at a regional event?

Myself and several others from Z1 Motorsports are heading out to Utah (MMP) for the National Championships on Sunday with our Spec Z.
Z1 Motorsports will be offering $400 in store credit for the first place finisher, $200 for second, $100 for third, and $50 for every starter. We offer a huge selection of performance and OE parts for the 350Z, basically everything to build and maintain a Spec Z short of racing safety equipment and tires. We plan to launch a complete online Spec Z section soon. Each participant will also be given a free T-shirt, hat, lanyard, free admission to the 2013 Z Nationals event at Z1 on Saturday October 5th, as well as discounted rate on the Z Nationals track day at Barber Motorsports Park on October 6th (details at www.Znationals.com). The requirements to claim this contingency will be two medium sized Z1 decals and two small decals applied to the car during qualifying and the race, these decals will be available at the track. This contingency has not been sanctioned by NASA and is being independently offered directly through Z1 Motorsports. Please consult myself or Al Cruickshank at the Z1 Motorsports tent in the West Paddock to participate.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at MMP and at Z Nationals (Barber) in October!

Good luck to everyone heading out to Utah. Looking forward to watching the spec z race on line this weekend. Also thanks to Z1 motorsports for their support.
Curious how many of you guys are mounting the recently allowed front adjustable camber arms? Still debating since the good ones cost $700 and I'm trying to save money to go to Utah next year.

I ordered a set of the Kinetix FUCAs so I could raise the car and keep (and add) front camber. *rant* This was after I sold the SPL FUCAs and installed the stock arms bc none were legal at the time. *rant off* They are a decent solution while on a budget.
