Exclamation My new brake setup... some pre-thoughts?

Well...
I am taking a risk lol...
Nismo F/R Pads
EBC "Drilled"/Dimpled + Slotted rotors
Goodridge SS Brake lines
and
1500ml motul brake fluid...

i know that not alot of ppl ever buy nismo performance stuff because they are usually not up to par with other products within the same price range...

the pads I talked my local dealer into matching performance nissan's price (which is good)
123 Front + 104 Rears but + 6% sales tax (instate bullsh!t) but then performance nissan = about the same in shipping cost and it will take a week to get here instead of 2 days from my local dealer...

so... the arrival time line goes like this :
Friday - Motul fluids
Saturday - Nismo pads
Monday/Tuesday - EBC Rotors
Thursday - SS lines

Any body got any pre-install comments to make?

Do you track your car ?

The rotors will look good.
I’m pretty sure the NISMO pads will give have good user-friendly performance.
SS brake lines, I’m guessing you have the non-Brembo brakes right? They will give a better pedal feel with easier modulation. I’m not sure I’d want them on a Brembo setup.

Over all it’s good, useful mods.

THats basically a stoptech stage II upgrade for stock brakes. And it works great IMO. I have the Nismo pads, motul, ss lines and my rotors surfaced and the brakes were very good. However, the nismo pads need to be heated. So the first stop of the day wont be good make sure that you hit the brakes a lil before venturing on the highway or something where you may need to stop abruptly because they wont grab completely right away.

i was going to get the stoptech kit
but a couple things i didnt like...
the pads they give (the name doesnt sound tunerish)
the rotors... the EBC rotors have a different glare to it than the standard stoptechs..
yes my setup = more costly but hopefully it performs just as well

are you serious? that just seems really imcomprehensible to me, you know you are paying more for a product that might perform as well as a tested, manufactured and less expensive product?

Lol are you serious??? You didn't trust a brand because they didn't sound "tunerish" as you would call it. Jeeze for all the time you do spend on this board do you actually learn anything??
