Here's the end of my sway bar clank issue:
After lifting the car several times, I found that when my filler tube recall was performed, the dealership didn't tighten my Stillen exhaust up very well. It began knocking on my rear sways over largish bumps and what not. It got worse over time. Dealership heard nothing so I went looking. After banging around for a while I finally put an "old" sway bushing over the rear sway and pinched it between the exhaust. Noise was gone. Re-hung/tightened the exhaust, sound still gone. Even though the clearance looked enough, nearly 1", it wasn't.
OMG. it's **** I just wrote LOL
it's late and I'm feeling better...
but a true story, I swear

Well it appears taht my sound may indeed come from something other than the links. I brought the car back in becuase the clunking came back. The tech removed the endlinks and drove it around. The sound was still there - the same sound. So he inspected the compression rods and he beleives they are the real issue. $900 plus tax! I'm debating what to do.
