I want to lower my Z, but I want it to be known that it is lowered. Eibach claims 1" on front and rear, what other springs do you think are good?

Re: Do the Eibach springs lower the Z enough to be noticed?
Yes, I believe the drop is noticable @.8 front and 1.2 rear on my LS w/Eibachs installed. Is this what you are looking for on a drop? It is very noticable when parked next to a Z w/o Eibachs. I would think twice about a drop exceeding what the Eibachs offer for two reasons. 1) You are right on the edge as far as speed bumps and driveway inclines and drop offs. 2) The camber is also right on the edge w/this drop. Anymore than this and there will be real camber/alignment issues. Regards, Jim

The rear seems lowered than the front, so if you have non-factory rims, with less than 30mm offset, you may need to roll the fenders. It looks like it will rub.
The front is ok.
The front is ok.

Drop
I was told by the seller (Discount Tires) the drop would be .8 and 1.2. I just went out and checked the box and no specs on the box. The insert says "Lowers vehicle 1.0" to 1.5"." I had one of the first if not the first 350Z Eibach Prokit install in early March. If they now state 1" all around, I would bet that it is simply an averaging rather than any physical change of the springs. Regards, Jim

So is the drop of the Eibachs .8" in front and 1.2" in the rear or 1.0" all around? Eibach's website says 1.0" front and rear. What does the box of the springs say?

if you are only giving offset numbers you are only giving half the equation. yuo need to include wheel widths as well.
20 mm offsets would be fine on a 9" wheel where as a 10 or 10.5 it would not.
If you mention offsets you gotta mention wheel width.
now.......in keeping with the topic of this thread.... the Eibach drop is defnatley noticeable!
my Z looks much more aggresive now with the drop

You can do this yourself if you know a little about the geometry of the rear. just adjust the camber cams on the lower inside links to the max + camber position. Then adjust the rear toe back to where it was... you can do the toe correction by sighting down the rear wheel looking towards the front....
here's what you do...
see where it is before doing and camber/toe adjustments... I sighted down the rim and noticed that there was a rock in front of my car exaclty where the rim edges met... that was my reference point...
then adjust camber, and then toe... bring that toe "sight picture" back to where it was before., i.e., the rock.
I did it this way and then took it to an alignement shop to see how close I got.. my method was within .4 degree of the specified position.
did this make any sense??!!

Measurements were taken before and after, full tank of gas and 35psi in all tires. I even re-bled the brakes this weekend and double checked that I had the springs in correctly. Here are some pics to verify.

People at work look at it and notice something, but most say the car looks longer, instead of thinking it is lowered.
At the club, with other Z emembers, they can all tell is lowered.
No clerance problems since I got them on. Daily city driving, over speed bumps and a couple of steep entrances. so far so good.
I have stock 18"s with OEM tires.
Follow the sig to pictures before and after the Eibachs.
