Looking at an '03 Track
I am looking at picking up an '03 Track with 15k miles. I already has a NISMO cat back installed. Dealer is asking 25.9. I felt like this was a good deal given some research on Carmax and Kbb.
However, I am a little worried now given some of the issues I have been reading about and some of the deals I am seeing on here.
Any advice would be extremely helpfull.
Should I stay away from the '03 and wait for a newer one?
Thanks!

I just picked up my 03 Track with 8400 miles and everything is great so far....
Find out the inservice date of the car and see if its still under the bumper to bumper 3/36......also keep in mind that the powertrain warranty is 5/60k, so I wouldnt worry too much about the transmission.
as for issues like feathering, Nissan is offering compensation for it as well.
See if you can bargin the price down a bit though..

Thanks
Been doing more research. Looks like there is a new '06 blue enthusiast at my local dealer. Asking price is 28,145. If I can get that down to 27, I am better off i think.
I would prefer the 300hp motor to the 287 for only 1k difference...
Also, can anyone fill me in the mechanical / suspension differences between the track and the enthusiast model? Or is it just the brembos?

What if I had the option of a new '06 Enthusiast vs. an 03 Track w/ 15k miles and a nismo cat back (mentioned above) for the same price out the door...
There in lies the delima... 300hp vs 287. New vs 03 (from what i have read there are lots of issues)

Ok...
Decision time:
2k3 LaserLine Red Track Edition 6MT, 15k Miles, warranty through 10/06, pre installed Nismo Exhaust for 25k OTD
or
2k6 LaserLine Red Enthusiast 6MT, 12 miles, full warranty for 29k OTD
I think I am going to pony up the extra 4k and get the newer motor less buggy car.

The 03 standard warrantys are pretty gone now. It's 3 years OR 36k miles...whichever comes first. 3 years is already here.
I think that Track would be a better buy if OTD includes tax/registration.
The Nismo exhaust is worth $1k, the Brembo's are sweet, and the 03 is 200lbs less than the 06. But then again, a brand new car for a few k more is the better way to go if you have the money.
