your thoughts...
heres the situation...
I'm in the market for a Z. This car will only be used for the track. I will be doing mods to the car but VERY slowly as I'm somewhat a newly wed and we both want to start the kid thing around next thanksgiving.
So, should I buy a BASE model thinking everything will eventually be built up OR should I go with the NISMO and start on a much better platform and be able to enjoy the car much more so almost right away.
i have my flame retardant long underwear on...

if i was buying a car to ONLY track it I would probably buy a salvage title cheap *** Z and fix it up. that's just me though.
I think you need to provide some more info for valid input. this is a bad idea either way with the kid idea enroute.. but if you don't do it now you probably wont be able to afford to after the kid? :/

If you plan on keeping it after your done as something accomplished. Buy the nismo...if this is something you just want to dabble in just get a cheap wreck'd if possible Z you won't be dissapointed going either way...

Building a toy or race car....?
If your intentions are to build a REAL race car start with one that's been
stripped from the wrecking yard. You won't need any OEM parts anyway!

bought a base. right now buying parts. earning free track time in my spare time on weekends. This car was never intended to be a "racecar". I plan on using it at the track to learn to drive. No desire to truely "race" (at least right now). I bought some kw's but somewhat regret it. I should have stuck to my original thought of going with a linear coilover setup but got "sold" on them. Won't start putting the parts on until this winter.
thanks for the concern?
