Default Zainoed ChromeSilver!

Ok I only managed to get in 1.5 coat of Zaino today.

1. Washed with Dawn to get rid of previous wax.
2. Clayed the car.
3. Washed Z7.
4. Applied Z2 with ZFX
5. Applied Z2 with ZFX

Here's the results....it took a good 6 hours.

I liked the Zaino I applied to my CS Z, but I have to agree with previous posters that the darker colors are probably better in terms of shine.

I think I'll put a few more coats on next week, maybe that will change my opinion.

Don't forget some Z-5

Take a few daytime pics and post it. I have a chrome silver and I am not sure if Zaino is worth all the work it requires. I would use it if my car was black but not sure about silver.
thx

I have Chrome Silver also and yesterday I put on my 4th coat of Z-2 and the shine is incredible. I agree that darker colors will stand out more but the shine in the silver seems to get more brilliant after each coat.

I have not used Z-5 yet but I may do so soon since I have washed the car quite a few times and I want to keep the paint as swirlfree as possible.

That would be great if you guys could post some daytime pics. Sounds like all you need is Z-2 and ZFX? What does the Z-5 do? And when should it be applied? I'm considering the Zaino products, but I too want to make sure it's worth all the effort. Thanks in advance. -m

Z-5 is supposed to be a swirl remover. Most people probably haven't been using it much seeing as the car, and the paint, is still fairly new. However, people that have had experience usually put equal numbers of coats of Z-2 and Z-5, or sometimes even more coats of Z-5.

I have been doing a coat of Z-5 then Z-2 (with Z-6 before, between, and after) and it seems to work well. I now have a total of 7 coats.

You can go here for some shots I took of my car over the weekend. This is after one coat of Z5 and two coats of Z2.

Great pictures.
Will putting on more coats of Zaino make the shine look deeper on lighter color cars?

KSJ...that is your car. No I didn't get a chance to take a day time pix because I had a date and drove my car around on Sat and it got dirty. I need to wash it again this coming weekend and Zaino it.

I'm on my 5th coat of Zaino. I find that if go over my car in the morning w/ a California Duster, the car remains in showroom condition w/ not alot of effort.

Oh, just a suggestion, if you are going to use a duster..get two. At first I used 1 duster for the whole car..yes, including the wheels. Tsk tsk tsk...had a few spider web marks on the back deck (only visible in bright sun light) caused by the semi-metallic brake dust picked up by duster. A few applications of Z5 took care of that.

Now I have a duster for the wheels (easy job to keep clean once you apply a couple coats of Z2) and one for the car. Easy way to maintain the shine.

Zaino seems to REALLY work well for Brickyard!!

All the pics on the last page of my gallery are of a Chrome Silver with full Zaino.

To be honest, it doesn't look that impressive in most of the shots.

Again, I think I will end up using Zaino because it's a good protectant, not so much because of the way it looks. On Chrome Silver cars, it's just not that apparent.
