You need to calm down, son. I have no problems with you, but if you read the thread, everything has to be exactly factory (including sways and tires). And your car isn't. I didn't make the rules, I just enforce them.

I think it is you with the reading comprehension problems. My car was 100% stock when I made that run, junior.
400 treadwear all season tires, stock rims, everything. Perhaps my signature didn't spell it out enough for you? Or the thread?
What's your beef.

How is this for a stock Z, first ever time drag racing? Where can I improve?
Thanks!
See that part in bold that you typed in your thread .... that is why you're NOT stock. Not sure what there is to argue about.

Oh, I see. Becasue a front sway bar has a LOT to do with drag racing. That extra 12mm really helped me get a better time.

My bad, had no idea that a front sway had anything to do with 1/4 times. What's that? It doesn't? Ok.

The point is not whether or not it helped your times, but rather if it was 100% bone stock down to the tire. We will all agree that a sway bar does not give you any advantage over a stock Z, but a line was drawn at what is considered stock and it has to be adhered to.

Fluid1, I don't know what the hell's up your butt. If I recall correctly, I tried to help you with your exhaust issues a couple of weeks ago and tried to help you and gave you my opinions on certain things. I don't really care whether or not you go under the stock or modified. But as I've mentioned already and others again to remind you, your car wasn't completely stock. Complete = 100%. Now, because it wasn't, you don't go under the stock category. Keep arguing, nobody gives a ****. Maybe you should take English again in grade school... junior.

Hey FIto,

A couple more things

What tires were you running? ( DR's, Slicks )
Is your car 6spd or Auto?
What turbo kit is on the car?

Thanks

I would have to agree with this. I want everyone to come to this thread and feel good about what is posted. Even if you do something to the car that wont affect quarter mile times, it still does not make the car 100% stock. Just need to keep it fair for everyone.

Again this is for the 350z community and i want everyone to enjoy looking at the times and seeing if they can move them selves up the list. I hope this coming season will be a interesting one. We dont have any 06 z's and i hope to see some of these new 07's on the list.

Keep the times coming, i will try my best to keep the list updated. Dont get upset if it does not happen right away

I have a question will the 07 Z's have a differnet catagory? They do have a different engine so it might not be fair the class them with the 03-06. Yes the 06 have different parts but they have the same engine. I think they might have an unfair advantage over the none HR engine crowd.
just my .2

Hey Walkert,

I dont think it is needed at this time, unless the community see differently. Lets see what happens when they start hitting the strip and go from there.

If it is something that everyone agrees to, then i will have to start another thread all together. Just dedicated to the new engine.

Thumbs up

Hey Everyone,

Moving forward from here

Once we reach 25 in each group, i will have to start bumping off the ones that are not verified first. I will start at the bottom of the list and work up. Then after that, you will have to be verified just to be added to the list.

Then it will be just bumping off the guy at the bottom of the list.

Everyone cool with that?

I agree with bumping the non-verified off the list. I think the non-verifieds should all be bumped off together though. TX guys, post your slips up!

I agree also and I guess if the 07s start to fill the top 10 then the new list will be needed.

Practice makes perfect. My car's harder to drive now also. So I won't be getting 13.5 anytime soon..

No problem. I don't see the 2006 occupying the top-3 slots, and I doubt that the 2007 will trump everyone else. Time will tell.

I like the idea. I would be a bit annoyed if I got bumped out of a category by a unverified time.

The drag racing forum will get more interesting in the spring when the east coast racers get back to the dragstrip.
