Welp I blew my motor today at the track. Forgot to switch to my nitrous tune and now the motor knocks like crazy.

 

man sorry to hear that. what kind of a shot were you running?

 

125 shot. My original plan was to go to the track today, put the slicks on and run 11's. Instead I tried to see how fast I could go on street tires and ended up blowing the motor on the first nitrous pass. I still ran a 12.4@107.

I picked up an engine yesterday and 2 bolts away from pulling the old engine. Hopefully its up and running again this week.

 

kinetix #3 is on the car. installed it yesterday ran great but i had to put the stock throttle body back on. it messed up the ported one when it blew up.

 

Why do you keep using the Kinetix?

 

hardheaded i guess. i keep saying im gonna build a sheetmetal plenum but havnt got around to it yet.

the main reason i use them is for the lower intake temps.
but im gonna build a direct port setup so the plastic plenum will no longer be a issue. the reason they keep blowing up is because im having flow issues with the nitrous setup and the fuel is loading up in the plenum. it actually caught on fire and burned this last time.

but till i get the new setup in place im not gonna spray it anymore. im going to be doing some n/a tuning and try to pull a 12.40 all motor.
