Those were my thoughts also, but didnt know if they were being used and proved realiable. I will be getting the studs and slip ons hopefully this week and take pics... Thanks for the info..

op i guess u already got rims, but skinney's up front with a set rims like theres in the rear is the way to go fast. less rotation mass plus less wind resistance. ftw
Yeah, that was my plan initially but Im limited by my Brembos..so I will be working my way to the front eventually... Thanks.

This thread has been very helpful, I’m keeping a lookout for some 17” Z/G wheels and as soon as my new engine is in I’m going to pick up a set of those Hoosier’s.

Glad to know that this has been helpfull to others.

Just to update... I went and purchased a set of 30mm Kicks spacers. The 16" wheels barely clear the brakes. It was so close the paint on the calipers was rubbed off, but no metal contact. Also the tires still tuck in pretty good even with the 30mm. I had to get non hubcentric spacers since the honda S2000 wheels are different than the nissan. I hope to get some pics in soon.... Next, will be the results at the track. I will be heading out Friday or Saturday.

Just to update, got back from the track and pulled a 1.9 60ft of the first run and a 8.7 @ 87 MPH on the 1/8th.. But with track prep being poor, I lost the good traction after the first run.. Still Im happy with the improvement and it will surely get better, gotta work on gettin grid of the wheel hop.

I thought that was pretty good MPH for starters.. The tires were still not completly hooking but Im happy. I did run 8.6 and an 8.5 but the timeslip machine was broke, so I could only ask my son the times on the board after the run. I can only improve from here. At 8PSI, not having a fresh tune and not really knowing the car, Im happy..did I say Im happy???

Ok, just took a better look at my slip, my 60' were crappy...2.3. I was looking at reaction time. My reaction time was very slow because I was doing a solo pass and just wanted to get a feel for the the DR's. That expalins the slow but much improved 1/8th times..

Did you do a good long burnout with the new DRs for your very first pass on it?

No, actually I sucked at it with the DR's. I just could'nt get the car to stay strait or get them hot enough to get the smoke going. I'm planning on getting a line lock next week. That should help me heat them real good. Also I wasnt to sure on the tire pressure, I had them @ 20PSI on the first pass and kept lowering the pressure after each pass. I got them down to 16 PSI but still no grab.

I did once but thats when the car started to go side ways, I guess I just needed to practice on it. But I may be picking up the line lock solenoids this week to make it much easier for consistent burn outs. If not I guess I'll just have to get better on the burn outs. I'll be heading out Saturday night again..

Pull the main VDC fuse under the hood next to the master cylinder at the track. It shuts down everything.

DR at 16psi should hook pretty well if you are launching right. if your alignment is no good, your contact patch is no god either. that can cause you allsorts of launching problems.
the stock alignment is not performance orientated either.

The car has some lowering springs. I have to get it checked out. Now that I think about it the track really wasnt preped right either. No one was hooking even on slicks. Hopefully I can get lucky and get a good burn out next friday.

Just to update.. went to the track last night since last friday we got rained out and saturday had to roll to Ft laudy. Anyways, track prep was very good last night and finally got some decent 60ft, 1.98 and hit a 8.29 @ 88 still chirping the tires a bit @ 16PSI tire press. I did replace the rear diff bushing with a solid unit and seemed better but still got some wheel hop after the third run. No standing burn out just a roll out of the water box. The track claimed 5 cars last night so it was very nice and sticky. Now just need to work on consistency out of the line..
