Drag set up advice needed for my Z
They could definitely use bigger spacers there's a mile of room... I refuse to run spacers more than 5mm for safety reasons tho. Gonna need some different rims if you want that 'drag racer' look.

Agreed on the horrid offset but I could care less since I only run them on the track and never on the street...crazy treadwear and funky handling with mixing bias ply and radial. Feels like you're drifting everywhere until you burn them out good.
I know what your saying. I almost $&it my pants on night going home after the track when I took a turn and the back end felt like it was ridding on jello... I was only doing 45...it was crazy. As far as the spacers I was running 30mm kicks to fit the wheels im using and clear brembos. They did very good but got rid of them. Im looking to get a set of wheels the would use no spacer for that warm fuzzy feeling at launch. I may step up to 17" OEM wheels with ET Streets.
Here is a very unstable but FUN ride on slicks and possibly not optimum alignment. Old setup a measly 490whp...

A little line of fluid on the track or getting out of the groove could have caused that also. I cant see that kind of power breaking slicks loose like that..
In any case to break the subject, I finally got the CD009 installed this weekend. Hopefully I can get my new drag tire set up soon and get back to the track. My old tranny was hell to shift from 2nd to 3rd taking away from my ET. So hopefully this new butter shifting like tranny will improve my times...

Alright guys, I just picked up a set of Hoosier 28x10x16 slicks for the FD wheels Im picking up tommorow. From looking at the tires they look tall...
I guess its little to late but, will these tires clear the fender with the FD wheels?

I contacted a guy in Pennsylvania about some billet specialties 16 x 8 5.5 bs drag wheels @approx $260 per wheel.. Waiting to hear back.... I'll definitely post my findings if these work out...
^ Why those over a preferred brand like Weld or even Jegs?
Next will be the 17in skinny wheel up front..Thanks for the info...
As soon as I get them mounted I will shoot some pics and maybe some videos at the track..

In the mean time, here is a pic of the wheels after a nice coat of paint... I got my hands on these for a very good price. A little cleaning and paint goes a long way... I hope to have the slicks mounted this week..
The wheels clear Brembos without a spacer which is a plus and they are super light. The backspacing is not bad at all. It may help tuck the slick in the wheel well better. Will see how they fit later..
