Default 15+ WOT runs for ecu to adjust?

That's what AAM said the ecu needed to adjust to their plenum spacer...no wonder why dynoing my mods immediately after install showed no signif diff!

Not really. I bet you drove further than what 15 runs on the dyno would equal.

i thought if you reset the ecu and do like 2 wot runs it would adjust quicker.

Its true...these computers do learn to a certain extent....but when more tunning is required...such as adding and removing timing it is required to do a reflash. If you have simple mods such as intakes, or even to the further extent of having intake, plenum, TB, spacer, etc....you would most likely need to get a reflash. When you start adding exhaust and things and when the mods add up, it would be recommended to get a reflash...but for a simple mod or 2 i wouldn't recommend a reflash...just allow the computer to learn what you have put into it....its just as you get farther down the line with more mods you will need a reflash to get the most out of your mods...

Really? That's funny... I have the plenum, cats, and exhaust... (no headers) and dyno'd the same as flashed cars. I'm not reaping the benefit of a higher redline, etc... however MY Z is in NO need of a reflash.

Most importantly... we should always understand that it takes several runs to get a car to show a TRUE baseline.

EVERY 350Z/G35 I've dyno'd (which I've lost count) takes AT LEAST 4-5 runs to even get up to temp.

Make sure when you baseline, and test your mods... to get it up to temp first. Don't use your first run, and think that's the cars baseline!!

Best of luck to all!

Are you suggesting we make a hard run immediately before each pull to get the temp up?

Sorry about the everyone. I was over exagerating a little. Sometimes I get a little overboard. Most likely less then 5 good hard pulls to see the difference.
