Actually 5th is technically the proper gear to dyno in since it's a 1:1 ratio..4th is ok though on this car since it's close to 1:1.
SAE numbers are aren't always lower than actual. SAE correction is based on what power the car would make on a standard day (59 degrees F, 29.92 InHg, 0% humidity and sea level elevation) therefore if your conditions when you dyno are BETTER than a standard day then the SAE numbers will be lower. But if your conditions are worse than a standard day then your SAE numbers will be higher.
