In my never ending quest to find the biggest radiator core that will fit with the Turbonetics kit and still keeping quality I found this on Greddy's site:

Anyone have the dimensions and a none MSRP price on this? Sorry if its a repost I've never seen it mentioned before.

 

I have seen it on their sight before also but have never heard mention of it either.

 

How much room is there with the TN? I know the Stillen is 1-5/8". Not sure if there is one thinner than that other than the JDM stock rad which I believe is 1"

 

i can show ya pics of the 3" rad i just put in. you do away with the fan housing, so you actually gain alittle room. it is 28x19.

oh ya, some custom work will apply, but not much. the rad is from a very well know company making rads for late model and nascar, yet the rad is under $200.

 

Isn't the fan shroud and fan assembly all one piece on this car? Did you use Flex-A-Lite fans. As for room in front of the Turbonetics piping there not THAT much.

 

ya, i used 2 10" electric fans. you need to make your own mounts, but it will rest on the shelf the factory rad sits on, so just a few simple 1" wide alum as straps will only take about a half hour. you can offset the fans to get more room, but you would have to physically measure everything before you started buying stuff. i have about as much room as stock, or maybe just a little less. i can easily reach my arm down in front of the whole motor, so a good 3-4" gap atleast. again, you can offset the fans to make a channel through the middle and get even more room.

they sent me the wrong rad. i wanted ford style and they gave me chevy style. ford style has the same inlet, outlet, and cap location as the stock radiator, and would make install easier. i opted to use the chevy style to save shipping time, plus give me more coolant capacity, and to make some cool stainless radiator hoses, lol. with this setup, my temp won't budge off 180 even on the freeway and 85 degree temps.
might not be for everyone, but i like doing custom stuff anyways.

 

Bigger well Thicker core don't mean is better.. My ARC size is same as stock and thinner then Koyo but dyno tested is 40 degree C cooler then stock and koyo.. Koyo is just an oversize stock Radiator...

 

I agree, its the technology. ARC has a special micro passageway and the others don't.

 

OZ. Is that a Howe radiator? I had a Howe radiator in my Z before because I could get a custom size for about $240 and it worked well.

 

it actually is called four seasons. it looks identical to the howe though, as i just saw one a few days ago. like so many other parts out there, the cores are prolly from the same manufacturer, but the tanks are different. in my case though, the tanks are also identical to the howe. my rad was under $200, lol. the only time consumming part was fabbing the rad hoses because of the flipped inlet and outlet. would be way easier if i had recieved the style i wanted. but it only cost me time.

 

That place is in Memphis, I might have to cruze down there and check them out. Prices look very nice. (4 Seasons Racing Products).
