does your shifter shaking when you drive it ?

Default does your shifter shaking when you drive it ?

i just went to test drive a new z , and thinking of getting one. but i got one question want to ask you z owners . when i drove that car , i found out the shifter is shaking a little bit . is that common? thanks guys.

yeah thats common... not really a big deal.. i got used to it after a couple days.. i believe the shifter is bolted directly to the tranny thats why. but go get a Z!!!! what color are you thinking about getting?? what trim? Touring? Performance??

thanks alot man! im thinking of get a performance package with siverstone and burnt orange leather .maybe in september . now im just selling my prelude and save some money for it . hophlly i can get enough money for it by time .

Yea, the shaking shifter thing is normal..... think of it this way, when your hands on the shifter and you feel it shake it just means that you can FEEL THE POWER......

uhhhh it also means that your torquing it and prematurely wearing the gears. While driving, let the shifter be to do it's own thing. A friend of mine has an older Toyota and man does it move, in fourth it looks like it jumps almost as high as neutral and back as it shifts around.

i love this car also the price is went down to the MRSP on the sticker. just checked the price out from the dealer .

Yeah, around here I'm seeing 1K off on Z's now and again. I don't know if it is off MSRP or MSRP+markup-1K.

Vibrating shifter seems to be normal.

I have an mkiii supra turbo and it shakes alot when your in 3rd and you take your foot off of the gas

When they were designing the 350Z they noted the issue but found that adding the specific bushing to isolate the noise that it took away the direct feel of the shifter... a little vibration won't hurt anyone. =)
