Amsoil are cleanable, but not like you would an oiled one. No on replacing every time. Still looking for those dimensions...lol

-edit-
Here check this out
http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/eaau.aspx

Specs & photos are also as a .pdf in that link.

Hope that helps.

No rush on the dimensions, however, I do apreciate you looking out for a brother.

In other notes, I was told that my car should be ready by Monday. I took it in on Thusrday evening. I am just hoping that they dont mess up my bab while she is there. I want every nut & bolt back on her, LMAO!

I did.

Here in FL we have 2 years. But a few CA members just had their cars bought back after their 18mo.

Just hoping I still have a chance too.

Good to hear about CA buy backs after the 18/mo/18kmi. It's been awhile since I read up on LL in CA, so I'm a lil rusty. Off the cuff though I believe it stated as long as the OC is recorded on a service invoice as reported loosing oil by the customer within that time frame/miles. Don't quote me on that though.

Hope you still have a chance...gl

Thanx ZeeForce for that comment earlier. I subscribe to about....4 other OC threads plus this one. Just sharing the knowledge and continue to do so when I can from our brainstorming/ideas/personal experiences and UOA results.

My new frustration has been my worsening detonation and has been my new 100% focus now. Anyone have a Consult II or Cipher they can loan me? lol

You know who to hit up on your Amsoil products

Can you tell me when they changed/started shipping V2s with this revision? Was it from the start? According to my mechanic, valve guide seals is a major cause of the OC. I had my V2 installed last August (2007). Is that engine before the new PCV and valve guide seals? Thanks guys!

Unfortunately I have no idea when that revision was done. My master mechanic wouldn't say. Did say mine had it tho as of May 08 with my swap.

Quicky update with another 2K on my V2 since 3750 mi oil change to current 5700 = 8mm down again. No further OC improvement it seems, but my last 350mi was solid spirited driving. IDK...will monitor next 1800 with normal driving habits and see how much more OC at end of this oil service interval. Hope not another ~8mm more. *crossing fingers*

Thanks, I fear my early V2 does not have this enhancement

No one knew, not NNA, not Dealers, not the NNA regional reps, It was and still is, all kept secret on what was and still is being replaced in the freshly built engines.

It all goes back to the same original speculation from May of 2007, which were the rings, possibly pistons, valve guides, PCV valve etc...etc..

I would speculate (guess) that the valve guides and seals were replaced from the first engine back in May of 2007.

Your original warranty still applies, no new warranty on the engine. So you still get the 60mo/60k mile warranty as on your original engine/car.

Extended Warranty???

Very few have received the extended warranty. I was soooo lucky and kept calling back NNA after I received the fresh engine. And after two NNA reps, the third one (a gal out of Canada) went to bat for me with the supervisor and it went to the board. They called my dealer's service mgr and asked his opinion, and then it went to the board.

I got one, and have only heard of one other person getting one.

100k mile warranty or by the year 2011, which ever comes first.

Cheers
Curtis
