Thanks, guys... I'm just trying to see what's going on with bigger cams for the RevUp...

Thanks Andrew. I don't honestly know enough to spec out a set of cams for myself. I will leave it up to Jeremy and Jim Wolf to determine what would work best for me. I like JWT cams and so does Jeremy, so that works out well.

I know why you're grinning, coach...

As far as I know now they only need springs and retainers. But don't quote me just yet. I would seriously doubt the recession cuts bit into the pistons as well. The crazy lift tells me they are going to have a poor idle quality but power gains should be phenomenal.

12.xxx mm of lift is serious.
Those are pretty close to my C2 cams on my SR20DE 10:1 CR NA motor, those were more than +30% whp on the top end. Wonder why tho' they are "R" cams, they are not as radical as the C2's (or the C2R's).

And why the UTEC can't control the VTC? when the UTEC was launched, Jermaine said that the UTEC allready had an own driver for VTC, Drive By Wire, Ignition Coils and Injectors, that it was only a matter of time that they include that control in the software

I'm dissapointed

Well from what I get from the engineers is that it could be done but it wouldn't be in a Open loop (duty cycle only) manor and the factory ecu would definitely throw a Check Engine Light whenever altering cam angles. That's the short of the story.

bump out of curiousity after we have seen close to 10 built NA motors in the last two years.

What ever happened to this poor thread?!? Im really thinking about getting these cams in the spring. Will I see a huge drop in low end torque??? My car is a rev up 2005. Will I also gain all the benefits from tuning with uprev???

I guess since this thread has already been bumped, and even though it's not likely jermaine will read this...

Do you really think we care if it throws a code while we're gaining power from cam phasing?
