I just replaced mine on my 03 Z last Saturday. It was $160 for parts and labor but my warranty covered it (I think the part was $70...but I could be mistaken).

From what I was told it was just the sensor. My Certified Warranty did not cover the part for some reason, but my MPP Warranty that I purchased seperately did.

just came from the nissan stealership, they said i had bad crank sensor and replaced it. car had the same symptoms that the 03 recall z's have. mine is an 05 6spd
-jumpy rpm's
-can't past 3k rpm (mine coulndn't even get to 2K)
-sputtering, jerky engine
-Service engine soon light on
-tcs/slip light on

after replacing it. i made sure to get on a little bit straight out the dealer, 10 mins on the freeway and bing... RIGHT BACK!! sputtering etc.. i just paid to have this done. im going back tomorrow screaming.. if this car is going to be this sensitive, ill trade it in.
