theres a weird soft sort of knocking noise ...not sure where its coming from, other than the engine area. The main thing that i should note is that it happens in neutral (or maybe i cant hear it 1-6)and the the sound goes away when i hold in my clutch.

 

Don't know what your mods are but if you have a light weight aluminum flywheel and its sounds like aluminum colliding with aluminum coming from under the car then most likely your flywheel.

I get the same noise and it goes away when i press the clutch and its my flywheel

 

only mod right now is aem intakes (stupid, i know)........no flywheel....it just sounds shitty

you thinks it funny...but to anyone who didnt join a forum and/or do some extensive research, would assume that a quality company like aem would produce a quality intake. I suppose it should automatically be implanted in my head that nissan perfected its design for the HRs?
