Performance Chip?
Has anyone tried the performance chip/module? They are selling it on ebay for 50 dollars or so. here It kinda looks too good to be true, but who knows. anyone?
Here is the company web site:
http://www.nextlevelracing.com/
They do NOT list availability for the 350Z.
Have no idea if this product works or works safely, even if it was available for the 350Z.
I emailed the company for more info. Will post response.

Reponse from Company:
We actually have both G-Box and Triphase modules available for the 350z, however they haven't been added to the apps list on the site yet(they will be updated on the site this fall, but they are available). The auction link you sent is indeed from an authorized next level dealer.

The TriPhase box has three settings: Off, I and II. You spice it into the Yellow/Green wire coming out of the Intake Air temperature Sensor (part of the Mass Air Sensor). The device simply modifies the Resistance so that the ECU thinks the air is colder than it really is. This makes the ECU add more fuel.
I have not had a chance to install it or test it as there is a hurricane to our South and rain and wind here.
I will post test results when I get to it next week.

Response from the Company:
The 350 doesn't run rich, it runs richer than a "normal" car, because of the reasons we state on our website, but the 350 is not a victim of bad engineering in that it's factory a/f ratio is incorrect.

I spoke with the Company rep there. they say they have lots of folk using it.........no 350z's though..........not that he knew of....I can't wait to read what Intrepid thinks of his unit.
If this thing actually works the way it is suppose to work, wouldn't that effect the emissions of the vehicle? I think it would cause the vehicle to fail emissions testing in some of the more strict states.
