Sikky 350z/G35 LSX swap
By retro fit I mean I swap a Nissan sensor into a GM motor. The example is the oil pressure sensor in which the Nissan sensor is 1/8" BSP and the GM sensor is 16mm. I took a 16mm hydraulic o-ring plug and put in a lathe, drilled a hole through the plug and then tapped the hole so it is 1/8" BSP. I then JB welded the stock Nissan oil pressure sensor into the 16mm plug and now you have a VQ sensor that can be directly installed on an LS motor.
motor will work, t56/tr6060 will work and gto. fbody (w/ ls2 knock sensor adaptor)/custom harness will work. corvette trans/harness wont work

Sub-forum is not happening right now. Please use the sticky at the top of the forum or feel free to start your own detailed build thread on the process. I will most likely do a step by step thread with costs and parts when my TT kit sells and I am ready to move ahead. I was ready to buy parts yesterday and decided to throw the wife a bone and get the driveway re-paved instead... FAIL!!
When I read that you threw her a bone I was thinking a piece of jewelry or a sexy outfit but getting a driveway re-paved? That's a huge bone to throw! I found the sticky right after posting in this thread and sub'd to it. I will definately be tracking other builds and imputting things from mine once I start it next year.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I'm a long-time advocate for the Swap forums myself, but just because I can doesn't mean that I will create a new forum for something that currently can't justify its own section. It will happen, though. I just can't promise when. As Cass stated, please use the sticky for now as a reference and a place for you to submit relevant info.
^lol
threefive, for now a sticky is perfect until we get more info, pics, links, etc and organize it. i feel once we get a few more members doing this, and get a couple different setups going then well be ready

Wow. Can't wait to do this when I get back from Afghanistan. Seems to be the better route than a built FI VQ. Awsome info guys. Quick question for ya. I think I read in this thread that there's no kit yet for the LS3. Has anyone done or thought about the LS3 erod? http://www.gmperformanceparts.com/erod/
Seems like a good route for California residents (which is my home state) and makes good power. Definitely going to be following close over the next year or so until I can start. Thanks for paving the way. Hopefully all the issues will be solved by the time I start. Plug n' play LSx swap lol.

Hey everyone,
I'm writing to clarify all the A/C confusion there has been. The A/C can work, with some custom modification. You will need to wire up a one-off external switch to turn on the A/C compressor. You will also need to do custom A/C lines. Sikky does not offer either of these items. We are tying to avoid releasing one without the other, so we are waiting until we have both pieces fully designed and ready for production. There is currently no ETA on our A/C components. Feel free to PM or email us if you have any further questions. Thanks a lot and sorry for all the confusion there has been involving this topic.

With an external switch will that allow the a/c to clutch on and off when it needs to so it doesn't run 100% all the time or does it run constantly? The a/c confuses me...
Anybody who's done that care to confirm?
