Very cool! I'm going to start a similar road race LS project but only about as half as crazy. Your budget obviously has more commas than mine Can't wait to see some vids soon.

looool .. tell me about it ... better late than never

Now for some update:

- Almost everything is done ... the supplier of the replacement driveshaft decided that they wish not to honer their word .... so I decided to seek other solution and I'm still waiting for the parts .. If you would ask me for a conversion kit I would strongly recommend Sikky period.

- Other than that, I will have to find some time to do the engine and chassis harness, its all ready but I still need to run the wires and make some panel board, etc.

- I just recently received my new Lexon install kit, which is basically a bike windshield wall nut, which I will use for the hatch.

- Please note that the diffuser is missing two NACA vents

Agreed. Everyone thinks you should go with the newest motor. You can buy an LS2 with money left over to build and boost it in comparison to an LS7.

Agreed. The LS7 just doesn't seem to handle higher horsepower in stock trim like some of the other versions.

It was just the shifter (a POS btw) and I sold that with the engine and now I'm saving $$$ to get a Holinger 6SEQ

One more thing on this LS2 that I got it has L92 heads and intake mainfold of I think the LS6, and a camshaft kit, which should yield around 500BHP easy.

Agree. for me it was the question of reliability rather than the HP numbers, and last year we (friends and I) used three LS7's (one of them in a Z06) and one LS2. The one LS7 in stock format (Z06) had no issues and ran great for the season (about 6 races and some track days) as did the LS2. The other two LS7 had various issues, which all have been addressed ... but never the less it made me feel uncomfortable.
