I had to post this for Quamen and Royal... we all know that Hal's car is unreal with his huge custom single setup right? For those that live under a rock he is slightly under 1000whp last I checked.

Look at the jump this TA gets on him and then see what happens when Hal gets traction and finds the powerband If you watch close you can see Hal get a bit sideways half way down the track.

Yes he did... I flew him up from TX to have him do that and a few other tricked out things for my Z. Did he ever finish your headlights?

That kid is a flat out genius BTW. What a nice guy too. He's got a baller EVO now pushing somewhere ~600whp.

wow, that was some nasty traction issue midway down the track for hal. Wonder if he wet himself a little when that happened.

That Z is just sick fast though. He was pulling like the trans was standing still.

Damn, Hal's Z is sickeningly fast. I can't believe how fast he reeled in the TA just in the back half.

Nice to see it is all good Chris, now boost that beeotch.

Ray Hall is no longer with ViPEC BTW i think he might have went and started a new company again. But my tuner and I were on the phone with ViPEC a few weeks ago and it seemed like the support is better now, they explain things better than Ray did dumb it down a little more maybe.

Good to know that Gord. Ray was there just a few months ago, I sent him an email and he replied to me directly and sent me an LS base map to get the car started.

No turbos going here any time soon. Kenne Bell SC maybe, but the unit is self contained and will be more reliable and won't be destoyed if I grenade another engine. I promised myself no F/I without the car running for at leat one whole year.

You won't make the full summer with out boost.

I was surprised to hear about Ray leaving as well, we were on the phone for severals hours with Simon he was good. The guy that set my timing on the other hand turned out to be not so good.....

I am glad you are back on the road again. I am pretty jealous of the V8 as well

No problems! From your post I got the impression it was something he'd done recently.

It's all good, however I'm about to

The comments at 38 seconds are funny
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RXkS...eature=related

"you got beat by a shop car. It was $100,000 vs $10,000"

I dont think Hal coulda tried to lose the race any more than that giving up like 3 cars at the drop. Losers always have excuses. And guys really think rb swaps are great ideas in a Z. LOL!!

i read on the Vipec forum, someone had developed a "CAN Opener". I saw Franz in on the thread, so imagine they figured out how to output the CAN signal via the Vipec

I tried explaining it before, but keep doing it wrong. Keep in mind that "I" haven't done squat, Franz figured out how to make that work. As soon as I get my car back give him a call or email and see what he can do for you. Until I pick up the car... NO DISTRACTIONS

He had told me about this, but my understanding is that the math formulas for the CABUS still haven't been cracked yet. Most of the electical stuff is lost on me. When I talk to Franz he's usually telling me how he figured something out and the process it took to make it happen. Its so above me that I just ask if it works and am happy that I have something that others don't have yet.

Pickup is scheduled for Thursday right now, so I am counting the days.
