Brad4rdHay,

You don't remove the stock grounding. This and similar kits provide additional grounding.

Cool Correction...

You don't remove the thin spagetti strand of grounding that comes on the car..

Good lord, I didn't imagine the stock wire that that thin!!

As stated, I don't worry much either if the 2hp show up or not. The kit is great, it looks awesome, and the cost is minimal.

Not much to loose. And, if the 2hp ARE there, then even better..

Question G35 and G35 Coupe owners.

I need a favor! I have been getting several requests to make grounding kits for the G35 Coupe and Sedan.

I have not been close enough to the cars to get a look at the engine block to verify the attachment points and take measurements.

I stopped at the local Infinity Dealership this afternoon and one of the Salesmen was kind enough to let me take a closer peek at the engine. The entire valve cover is veiled with a plastic lid. The Z’s only covers half of the engine.

A VQ35 is a VQ35. However, the valve covers on each car ARE different. Also, one quick observation was that the chassis ground is NOT in the same position under the hood sensor. I could not find it and didn’t want to take up too much of the salesperson’s time.

My request: Take off the plastic engine cover. Compare the mounting points to the Z’s. Find the chassis ground. Take precise measurements and get back with me.

My offer: A FREE grounding kit for the G35!!!

Guy,

Hopefully in the next week or two my friend and I will be installing a custom set in his G35 as well as in my Z. As soon as it's done I should be able to give you measurements, mounting locations and pics.

ps. we will be using your parts.

I have a question, I want to go the most stock look, and both black and silver look good, which would you say is the best? and how much are you charging again? From what I hear, you have quite the little business going, good luck and I'm glad you are taking full steam as an entrepenuer(spelling?!!?!?).

ok maybe some day i'll be lucky enough to have one of these fine cars, but for now a frontier wil have to do. ive read numerous forums about aftermarket/homemade grounding, and i'm still looking for a little more info. what are the "general'" recomended points to ground to? and how many? any opinions appreciated, any flames well deserved.

Don't answer that question -- it's an undercover IRS agent! j/k.

I must say that InSaNeAmine is one helluva guy. I was kind of a pain in the *** customer by changing my order from black to silver at the very last minute. InSaNeAmine kind of tricked me by saying that it was too late and that he already shipped the black, but when I got it, it was the silver.

InSaNeAmine - I sincerely wish you great success with this new venture of yours. You have all the ingredients to be a success in this new business - high quality craftsmanship and the ultimate in customer satisfaction. I couldn't ask for a better kit.

I have two questions or comments on the kit and instructions I've seen.

Why use 3/8 inch eyelet terminals when 5/16 inch eyelets are a better fit with M6 bolts?

Why is the cable from the battery post to the left of the intake so long? I think its a cleaner look if its not hanging down into the engine compartment.

Talking NOT A CRITICISM...

I ADORE my cable set. I am 500% happy with it.

BUT...

I have to say the only hard part of the install was to figure out which cable was which. I measured them but then I wasn't sure where to where to measure. So then I laid them on the floor next to each other, got them in order of size, and installed from there...

If anything at all could ever be improved on the kit (and I don't think it is necesary, I am just a little slow) would be to id the cables with little tags (removable) to make sure they are in the right place.

But again, this might just be my own age/stupidity level here...

Default Quick replies...

Intrepid - I have only sold 2 kits so far! Hee, hee.

Oh4aZ - No trick - If you got a silver kit, someone else got the black by mistake - Oops! ;p

z327 - I will look into trying the 5/16 terminals. We'll see how they look. Also, the length of the battery cable is due to routing options. Not everyone wants to put a hole in the rubber grommet to the battery. The extra length allows for routing the cable under the battery compartment.

slaponte - Believe it or not, I have one of those little wire label dispensers. It has been a consideration. It was just a pain to stick the actual size of the cable on each one. I think I could at least number them 1 – 5 and then have them listed in the instructions.

As always, you guys make this "little" business a kick is the pants!

I really appreciate the kind words and the input you have given.

THANK YOU!!!

Default Connection Points

Again, here is a picture of the engine connection points on the 350Z. The other two connection points not shown are the chassis ground and the negative battery terminal.

Insanemine i would love to purchase one of your grounding kits! My car will be coming in next week so I thought now would be a perfect time to purchase your grounding kit. If you are still selling these, could i get more information on how to send you the cash and so i can give you my shipping info. Oh yea i would like it in Daytona blue.

Default One of the things I like most about the kit

is that it seems to belong there.

Most of my friends first go "where??", because where I could I mostly hide the cables, then I point them out and they go "oh, yeah, I see.... WOW!"

Since I have the Z, the word "WOW" is what I hear around me the most...

My 21 step-son :

"Dad... wow... but... WOW... is like.... WOW... I mean, look, ... WOW...." Folowed by Oh My God!!
