This is Saul from hawaii, i've ordered the blue kit from you about a week ago and got it installed. I want to thank you for doing such a great job! It looks great and I can feel the smoothness throughout the powerband. The install is very simple, great looking, and it's a must pay for all those who hasn't brought one yet. Thanks again!

Received my kit this afternoon....excellent, excellent product!

If you are in the market for a grounding/earthing kit, do yourself a favor and get one from insaneamine.

yet another glowing review for InSaNeAmine!!!
Kit installed this morning. Initial impressions are that the engine seems to idle smoother and the engine response to the gas pedal is more immediate.
Highly recommend this kit. Installation was easy.

Default The 5th Wire...

Since becoming increasingly aware of the Nissan JDM Grounding Kit’s specifications and connection points and realizing the Nissan’s kit has six wires instead of five. I decided to add another wire to my Z connecting the rear right manifold to the chassis on the driver’s side.

I have driven around like this all day. I have NOT been able to notice any perceptible increases in performance. The engine is a “smooth” as it was before the addition of the 5th wire.

However, don’t take my word for it!

For the first ten emails I get requesting the additional wire. I’ll send you a free piece in silver only! I know this is limiting but be content with knowing that if you ever see a Z with a silver 5th wire, they were the early adopters and help determine whether or not Nissan had something there or not. ;p

The new 30” wire connects from the rear right manifold connection to the driver’s side chassis. The actual factory chassis ground is under a bracket that doesn’t look like it wants to be moved!!!

I need to thank everyone again. YOU PEOPLE ARE THE GREATEST!!!

Be well,

GHS

I’m going to wash my Z…

Default Seems I can't count!

I meant to say 6TH wire - doh!

... as perfect as I try to be, I just can't do it 100% of the time

The Z is washed and now I am going to get some hot crawfish - yum, yum!

Be cool!

Oh, I got 3 takers so far.

Default The ten are in.

Hey,

I have my ten requests. Thank you!

The kits are still the same price for the standard 5 wires.

I am going to wait till I get some feedback from the people who are getting the 6th wire to see if it really makes a difference.

I don't think is does - but that is just me.

As always, if you have any questions or requests please email me at InSaNeAmine@***.net.

Thanks again for all of your support!

Question

Insanamine,

Any of those ten requests a G35?
I'll have to look and see if that is the same on the G. From the pix, (and my poor memory) it doesn't look familiar.

Default Hey Encore!

Hey Encore,

That is a sweet Stinger rig! The terminals are the bomb! I bet they cost a pretty penny for ten of 'em though.

WoW!

Default 6th wire routing

Here are some better pictures of how I have the sixth wire routed.

Thanks again for everyone's requests!

All I expect in return for this offer is that YOU give us your opinions and review of the additional wire.

Does it make a difference?

Default 6th wire

I can’t believe that it makes a difference. The wire is from the engine to the body. That would be another body ground. I don’t think that you need another body ground. If the 6th wire went to another place on the engine or electronic component than maybe, but the body?

Those rings were sitting it my toolbox collecting dust. Ive ordered all my stinger connectors for my stereo. I ordered a extra pair of expert rings that are really hot to replace my current rings at a cost of $0.00.

Oh yeh. The two you see are the only ones with the nice terminals. The rest are crimped, soldered, and heat shrunk copper rings. You should see the wire. Its octogan shaped, and very flexible. Its also very heat resistent. I think stingers expert line are the best connectors, wire, rca, etc. avalible.

Wink I think I understand - Hey!

I got the message...

Proper grounding, as per the Dyno logs.... It may very well help in these new "Computerized System Cars" which have many "sensors".

My Question Sir, Is, Ah, would It help to proper Grounding on a 1981 ZX Turbo. And I saw ( Dyno - Pics ) my 1996 Max would really benifit. I have dim (amber) dash lights on the Old Z.

I'll do all three cars, if we can make a feature article on say www.freshalloy.com - ???? - Good Guy Discont and all that avertizing stuff.

Cheers Amy -

Please PM me.

Ha !

Installed the silver kit on my brick this weekend. I did a bone head and broke the screw off in the left rear manifold hole. I just attached it to the nearest screw on the engine. Is there an easy way to dig that broken screw out? Obviously, I could try to drill it out, I guess, but is there some particular tool or method that is useful? I don't know anything about this.

I have a unique perspective as far as comparison because after I installed the kit, I had a semi-emergency that I had to go take care of. I didn't drive the car at all on Saturday after install. I forgot all about it. Sunday, after lunch I jumped in the car to go play golf and I had forgotten all about installing the kit. I didn't notice the smoother idling or lower idling as some have described (I always warm the car up for 30-45 seconds before taking off). However, when I got on the road, the thing that spurred my memory that I had put in the kit was that the throttle response seemed better. It just seemed like there was a little less hesitation between pushing the accelerator and getting the response. I also felt like the revs dropped quicker when I engaged the clutch. I don't think I could ever determine whether it is faster or whether it is quicker over 4000 rpms (I don't get to drive it up there that often). But, I am absolutely convinced that the throttle response is quicker, even more what I thought drive-by-wire would be. Thanks Insane. Sounds like I missed out on the 6th wire. Disregard my late request.
