Hey insaneamine. I got my kit. Loks very professional. Putting it on today. I plan to leave the black plastic engine cover off. I asked about possible problems on another thread. Everyone seemed to agree that it was just a 'cosmetic' part. With the cover out of the way it will be much easier to access the engine. Thanks again for deciding to make the grounding kit.

Thumbs up Kit installed

Thanks insaneamine! I just installed the kit. Took about an hour. I know this will sound funny but the hardest part of the install for me was making the hole in the rubber for the battery connect. I agree with everyone else during the install and after, it just seems that it should have been there from the factory. And the car runs great. I installed the super black and it looks like original from the manufacture product. No pics sorry. I lent my digital camera to a family member and have not seen it since.

maybe a dumb question but hey...am I correct in assuming that actual "grounding" in not completed until the cable that connects to the battery is put on? asking b/c a friend actually has a mustang dyno in a big garage out back of his house! will be doing a series of before and afters on each of my mods to get numbers for everything. so thinking would just install all of the except the one to the battery, do a run to log everything, connect to the terminal, do another run and then compare.

If you've connected a cable to the original ground (under the hood switch) you've already completed the circuit. So you need to keep 2 wires disconnected.

Default Mardi Gra rocks!

Please post pics of the chics (on the balconies)

Which for me was one of the hardest points of the install!

InSaNeAmine--I would be very interested in purchasing a grounding kit from you. Could you PM me with the details, and if you can do blue, that would be PERFECT!

Thanks!

You may want to email him instead of waiting for a PM. Somewhere deep in this thread he mentioned that he doesn't check here everyday. I did get a response from email very quickly from him though.

Default Stars & Stripes Forever!

I was just making these kits and they looked so pretty together. Thought I'd share.

P.S. Thanks Goober, you are correct!

I do not check my own post every day. I do, however, peruse the new posts almost everyday.

Please, if you have any specific requests and/or questions, email me. You’ll be surprised at how quickly I respond.

Default Also...

Did you notice the little white labels on the wires? I started labeling them per your requests. Hopefully this will make things easier.

And who said I didn’t listen…

From these latest pics, it looks like you're using black shrink instead of the grey you were using. Or is this a photo illusion? Or are you offering a choice? Or, am I going nuts!

Default Shrink

The heat shrink is as same as it ever was.

There is only one color black heat shrink and it is gray!

I feel like an idiot, once again. But what exactly is a grounding kit? And how much do they cost?
