I knew that if the thread went on long enough the trolls would come in. How can 19 pages of positive feedback from Z owners (including myself) amount to "snake oil."

Default Right!

That's what I'm talking about, MaxHax!

“The most devote disciples are often made from the harshest of critics!” – InSaNeAmine

People who voice an opinion when they cannot speak from fist-hand experience often amaze me. It would be one thing if they made their own kit, tested it, and THEN said it didn’t work. It is totally different to just blast the tried and true facts. Advanced grounding has been used in racing for years. At one point in history people argued that the Earth was flat too!

But these are the people who don’t believe in exploration, experimentation, or modification anyway.

Do you really think this thread would be going on 20 pages if it were bogus? Car fanatics have no time for BS. It has been played out time and time again… if you do someone wrong, you WILL get blasted. Read the thread; there are compliments on top of compliments for my workmanship, customer service, and most importantly the performance gains (however subtle).

Just my $0.02.

I am one of the 'InSaNeAmine Grounding Kit' and 'advanced grounding in general' supporters and have commented as such previously but will echo that support again. The performance enhancements are real but subtle in a car like the 350Z but still worth the minimal expense required to gain them. Advanced grounding is used at the highest level of complexity and sophistication in F1 and WRC cars and I believe that speaks for itself.

Thanks for sharing the picture - looks great!

One comment though, those little white number tags can be removed very easily. They are just tape.

... might look better.

I finally picked up my Z last week and so installed the grounding kit that I've had waiting for about a month. Being an Aust spec car I had to throw away the instructions and route the cables to suit the different layout but all the same effects others have reported are there.

I don't think anyone has mentioned it previosuly but given the lower idle and the amount of time some people spend sitting in traffic at idle what do people think the chances of saving money due to lower fuel consumption are? Admittedly it would be tiny but over time?

Thanks - I know. I posted a series of recent pics of my car a couple of days ago (take a look) and another kind person pointed the same thing out to me. They have been removed. The kit is great man.

O.K. Getting ready to install the grounding kit, but before I start there is one part that I don't understand. Do I remove the factory grounding wires or do I leave them in place?

Alright, I am a tard. I have a 10mm socket but do not have a 10mm box wrench. I have tried 7/16 and 3/8 to no avail. Can someone please tell me what standard wrench size replaces the 10mm so I know what to borrow to get the job done.

You're not a tard.....well, not because of this question. The MANDITORY metric tools NEEDED to work on metric cars are 10mm & 17mm. The others can usually be fudged with fractional sizes.....sometimes even a better fit. My learning curve began WAAAAY back when I put a stinger exhaust on my 1970 VW Bug.

I was just wondering why you all using 4 guage wire? Isnt it a little over kill? Wouldnt something like 10 guage work just as well? Anyone have the numbers to back up the heavier duty cables?

The reason that im asking is I kinda want to do this myself too.

Insaneamine's instructions say to use "Loctite" on the bolts. How important is this step? I was able to find Permatex Automotive Grade Threadlocker. Will this do the job, or can I just skip this step?
