Arrow 2008 M/T transmission on a 2003 Z ?

Hey guys,
is it possible to replace the 2003 Transmission on the Z with a 2008 one ?
anyone done this before ??

Should be a CD009 trans. Your fine. How many miles on it maybe buy the kit from zspeed to replace just in case

no it will not work. you need one from a 03-05, hr motor cars/trans is different

no problem!

the hr block is different then the de, so the hr trans bell housing of course is designed to work with the hr

2007 and up went to a CSC which SUCKS! Read up on CSC failure and dead clutch pedals.

Just get the right transmission and stop trying to save a buck that is going to cost you in the long run.

Isn't there a whole thread on how 06 cd009 transmissions work and hot to do it... 07+ don't work. Just search cd009 and see what u get...

I believe if you change the bellhousing you'll be good. I remember a thread where some guy swapped the bellhousing on the 370z tranny and made it fit his 350. I'll search for it when i am not lazy.

I swear there is a guy that did this swap (one way or the other) and had to do some extensive machining work to make it happen. Not just bolts and fluids.
