Anybody want to shed light on my modding dilemmas?

Actually, the Nismo body design is a joint Autech - Zagato design (well, not Zagato the Italian company which did some joint stuff with Autech 30-some years ago but supposedly designers who were with Zagato back in the day). Who makes it is another question. Would guess these are made in-house or possibly locally outsourced.
Yamaha designed the Nismo suspension system and it was spec'd out to Tokico for manufacture. All standard suspension bits are in-house design and manufacture with probably few things outsourced to specialty companies, e.g., bushings, bearings, etc.
For the record, Nismo and Autech were separate divisions within Nissan. As of 2022, Nismo and Autech are no more. They merged and are now called "Nissan Motorsports & Customizing". They've combined to provide the racing bits n' kits that Nismo did before (with Autech's help) as well as other formerly Nismo stuff like the production cars. The oft rumored and spied RZ34 Nismo is the responsibility of NM&C which I'll still call Nismo. Or maybe "Nismotech." Laff....
Pretty sure the drivetrain components - transmissions, differentials - are in house built. Doubt OS Giken had anything to do with it other than supplying some really cool, trick LSDs and such in the contemporary age. Reason I say this is when I worked for Datsun/Nissan, transmissions and diffs were shipped from the factory gear and transmission plant. Also, the original Z car ran an R180 transmission designed way back in the '60s. Later Zs used the R200. And guess what? 350Z still uses the R200, albeit NOT the same R200 I had in the '80s. It's built around the same design but the housing, gears, LSD, are not backward compatible. Why this is a key point.... OS-Giken wasn't a company until after Nissan began building cars with R180 diffs and as far as I know, OS-Giken has always been an aftermarket (vs OEM) supplier.
Speaking of OS Giken and the aftermarket....
I may just buy the freakin coolant hoses. just one upper and one lower. without them inspecting it since im definitely getting it flushed, and why not. may buy all oem hoses after suspension fixed

i also impulse bought some spark plugs without even taking engine cover off yet. i did notice it drives smooth, and rpms look good at idle. on occassion at idle though it will blurp as if it shuddered or almost died. its more the vibration but it does make a subtle exhuast note.
No, i dont plan to put them in myself. Ive never gapped any before, or torqued anything to spec. Some night when i have a little time, im going to attempt to remove and replace front sway bar and engine cover. If the spark plugs dont look brand new, i will have them install them april 14-19, when its in the shop.
Ill def post a pic of the engine. you all have been real helpful so far, maybe youll see something i wont. ill also do some research on what im looking for. oil spots, fouled plugs, and belts.

NGK platinum is OEM. NGK Iridium is better (IMO). They should come pre-gapped but always best to double-check since things shift during transit, etc.
Just wanted to mention that since, you know, best/expensive parts and all.

Also, if you (or your shop) finds oil covering the tips of any plugs, then some new valve cover gaskets are in your future since the spark plug tube seals are not serviceable (at least not by conventional means, but there are ways around that which I wouldn't recommend).

Nismo Heritage is a godsend if you have a Skyline. Not much for early Z cars, roadsters, and most anything non-JDM. But glad they're doing it because one day - if I move out of California - I'll own that R34 I've always wanted.
Top Rank, every so often I see a R34 or two around town with Ca plates. Prices are about in line with Plaids, well a bit of added jdm tax on top.

It's not a damn argument, its just facts.
That's exactly what's going on here, with one exception... Nismo doesn't slap on the sticker, AEM does. I've been to the AEM intake development and factory site in Long Beach. I've seen the Nismo boxes. That's how I learned about it.

i got an oem oil dipstick in the mail today to replace my crinkled up one
Its not how much you make, but what you do with your money, that makes all the difference. Dreams can come true and I mean by legit ways. Just ask some of the members here, one guy who has responded just bought a Tesla S-Plaid to add to his collection.
edit: that s plaid seems ridiculous. it weighs so much, how is it formidable anywhere but the drag strip? i bet it would **** me off with technology
