Anybody want to shed light on my modding dilemmas?
i looked it up and the price of the supercharger is even higher than i thought. I cant even do that so soon lol. I still feel like if i had that kind of money, i would get an engine built to withstand alot of power and be badass. Then i would try to get more money for FI, maybe even after driving the built engine some by itself and trying it out.

Yeah, that's good advice. I did that to one of my Zs - WITH FI - to go racing but they put me into the Ultra Max Super GT/FBA class so wasn't too competitive. Was fast though, when I was able to keep it on the track. Didn't matter though, IMSA booted me out when they found out that my roll bar inspection hole was drilled into a 6" exposed section by the door, the only steel tube on the entire cage, the rest, old paper towel rolls covered in pipe insulation. Hey, how was I supposed to know the entire thing was supposed to be steel? They told me to "RKFM", whatever that means.
But yeah, those Ferrari engines are plentiful in the pick n' pull.

Today was a nightmare. shop left me a voicemail in the morning and i called them back. They said that the transmission is warped, and faulty from casting, off by 1/4 inch. They said they tried twice to put it on and something cracked second time. They said they already put a decent amount of hours into it, and im going to have to pay even more hours to put old one back on, and they cant keep it on rack forever taken apart..
socalz said thats an oem part shipped strt from nissan "let me check though". and i sent them these pics my shop provided holding a straight edge.
my car rental is extra expensive being summer at 300 a week.

I was thinking they couldn't get the shaft in the hole. That's tranny shaft into the crank hole you pervs! (I know where Trav is gonna take that TOTALLY INNOCENT sentence on my part). <snort> Shaft butting up against the edge of pilot bushing. But wonder what cracked? Probably just the bell housing. You know, "lined up one bolt hole, threaded it, and torqued that sucker trying to pull the tranny shaft in!" Oooops.

OK, OP, I made light of the situation but wasn't kidding. The input shaft won't line up if the clutch wasn't aligned and I've heard of broken bell housings before because of similar hamhandedness. Problem is that the CD00A and most transmissions nowadays are monocoque, no separate bell housing. Hope it's not that and something simple, like a cracked clutch disc face or something. Easiest thing to fix.

I do have one question guys and the mechanic seemed curious. so my new irp shifter has its own built in pivot for all directions, unlike the old shifter in photo 1. In photo two, is the bottom of new shifter. He said he cant even attach it to the shifter support bracket (that i bought cheap solid bushings for lol). So he plans on mounting the new shifter to the body of the car, and attaching it to the trans just like in photo 3. He said there will be more torque to the shifter or something and hopes it wont throw it out of gear, but its the only way he sees to do it. Shifter support bracket looks like a brace to me. i sure hope everything will be tight w out it and my 500 dollar shifter u all told me not to get lol

So now what? I am incredulous that a Nissan trans could be THAT screwed up from the factory. Something strange is happening there. Hmmm…

Well, couldn’t follow your comments about the shifter but this pic is the tail assembly from a later model CD009/CD00A/JK40+ trans, likely with the CD02 case. Which means…. You already have one in the car.
