Reviving this old *** thread to add some pointers for any swappers as I've done this swap twice now.
-If keeping your "auto" engine, use soft bread, 14mm socket & hammer to remove the giant a/t pilot bushing, gently press m/t bushing all the way into the crank.
-if keeping auto ecu, I recommend replacing the throttle body and doing all the resets (ecu, idle air, throttle release, etc), car should run much better
-if using auto wiring harness, cut and extend your reverse-light connector and they will work
-AWD swappers need an upper&lower oil pan, cut&extend the wire connecting by the oil filter (unless swapping for rwd engine) and a one-piece driveshaft as the awd frame doesn't pair with factory rwd center bearing, awd rear diff and front subframe/suspension work.
i may be able to answer more questions
how did u wire the auto wires from the auto harness to the pigtails from the manual harness I’m stuck there thanks

Currently doing this swap with an 06 chassis. Beside drilling the clutch master mounting holes also had to take the top clutch pedal mounting bracket off a MT and add install it to properly mount the clutch pedal. Its on the firewall inside the car directly inder where the wiper motor mounts. What did everyone else do?
Do you think you could take a picture of this bracket, I couldn't see it at all.
I am in the same boat. Everyone keeps saying just wire in the reverse switch, but no one in this thread actually explains which wires are the reverse ones. I have been scouring the FSM for hours trying to find any information.

It’s very simple! All you have to do is remove the reverse light relay located in the fuse box at the battery cover and jump the terminals and wire it to your transmission reverse switch. Get yourself a reverse connector for the transmission and solder the jumper wires. No need to worry for any blown fuse because once connected properly the reverse light will be operated by the switch in the trans. Message me on ig: zr33_mt

So if you look on the wiring harness going to the auto transmission there should be a pink wire number 7 specific. If you hook one of pigtail wires off the reverse switch to that then the other on the black ground on that same harness it will complete the circuit and work .

I avoided bridging any relays I just used the same harness and just tapped into to the existing wiring.

This is exactly what I was looking for!
However, I tested this and it didn't work as expected so I'm assuming I messed up somewhere.
For testing purposes, I used a wire connected to the 12v on the battery, and I touched the wire to the Pink wire that was on the 10 pin Green connector that was previously connected to the automatic transmission. However the reverse lights did not come on. The running lights did...
Out of frustration I started connecting the wire to each of the pins (dumb I know) found the 2 grounds quickly lol but I also found none of the pins turned on the reverse lights....
What am I missing here? Is the 10 pin Green plug the incorrect plug?
Any pictures of which pink wire/connector I should be tapping?

Thank you for all of this help btw.
So if you look at there pictures number 7 which is the pink wire is the 12v source that needs to be grounded to complete the circuit once you tap that pink wire to a ground, the lights should turn on. You tap the pink and black ground wire to the reverse switch on the transmission, and there you go.
If your running lights don't work then you probably shorted something out so I'd check your fuses.

I have been searching for this answer for days.... You are an MVP. Thank you so much man. As soon as I get my car back I will get this wired up. Thank you so much!
Finally got time to head down to the shop and work on this thing.
The 10 pin Green connector that used to plug into the transmission does not line up with the FSM at all...
The colors don't match, and the listed function doesn't match either.
Pin 1 and 10 is ground not 5 and 6, and none of the wires when grounded turn on the reverse lights. I got desperate enough to try every single combination possible.
Checked all fuses again, no issues.
I ended up shoving a wire into the center pin for the reverse relay.
Wire in reverse relay > reverse switch in transmission > battery +
It now works and I have my back up camera too. So I guess I'll call it a success.
has anyone tried this on a RHD? I am wondering if the auto ECU needs to be reflashed if being reused. Also are there any mods for the VSS plug in while using the auto harness?

Everything I did was on a RHD JDM fairlady Z roadster.
no ECU flash was required. Just a pedal dance for a check engine light I think.

good to know Oki. I wrote that reply without realizing there were more info beneath or on the next page. I found my answer on a youtube video just after posting this. but i'll be seeing what info you post that will be helpful to me. thanks
Manual swap how did you guys set up an e brake I wanna see
the way I set up my e brake is by using the bolt to the YAW sensor bracket for the front bolt. I then made sure it was straight and drilled two more holes in the position of the other two. I tapped the threads and used washers to get it all level. As far as the cable, you need the front section. You can get this new from the Infiniti dealer or try your luck at a part out. It cost me $90 from the dealer. It connects the same way as the old foot e brake cable. I ran it through the hole that the foot e brake cable uses and then sealed it with gorilla tape (temporary fix that has lasted a while). Hope this helps. The part you need Where the first bolt hole is How it should look
Yea Guys!!! GREAT INFO. Feel free to post any pics you have. I will also include them in my guide if ok'd by you. @abushong504 - that way is legit. I don't have access to that part at the moment so all I did was cut mine.
hi I have a question can I use a manual Ecu with the automatic harness? Also I swapped both ecu and engine harness to a 6mt and splice the the wires but my car only cranks and almost turns over like it lets out combustion some from the exhaust and idea what it can be ?
